Here is another question from me, how do I rotate decals so that you can read them? cause like certain decal (writing) only work on the north and east wall, but I want them to work on the south and west wall. Sorry I cant help but I thought maybe some one could clear this up for me.

I thought decals keep the same orientation as the wall they're put on. So if they wall is right to left in orientation then the decal placed on it will be too.
Can't say I'm much of a fan of decals though, too buggy.

What Fraggard said, but the texture size should really be a multiple of 16 (e.g. 48x64, 128x128). Also, Wallys wizard is about creating a custom colour spray decal, NOT a map decal. If you want to make a custom map decal to place on a wall, you have to place it in your decals.wad, which causes problems because other people won't be able to see it unless you make a custom mod and distribute your new decals.wad with it (it's like making a custom monster model or materials.txt file, you shouldn't really do it unless you're making a mod).
Alternatively, you could just make a masked texture (one of the blue { textures) and make it 1 unit thick sitting on top of a wall, i.e. just place a texture instead of a decal.

someday i think we should all get together and make a small list of things halflife doesnt do, or doesn't do easily.
this is one of those... assuming its not a spray.
i had a guy one who refused to accept that you cannot go upside down, i finally had to just drop it, cause he wouldn't

I doubt it, considering that screenshot is of single player HL rather than somebody's custom map. That might work as well though. The way I've seen it done is through console commands, not sure what they are though.

cl_pitchup command. default_fov is also fun to play around with and is probably a reason for many a times you've been killed in the past

I have a default_fov of 112 (don't ask why 12, it just do  ) for HLDM, it feels so slow when I set it back to 90

parakeet, you do realise you can edit your posts right? you don't have to keep making new posts all the time, just edit the one.

I prefer making servers of 32 bots, lowering the gravity to like 10...then upping it to 10,000 or higher and they hit the ground so fast. Heheheh. At that gravity going down steps kills you.
