I ask you this:
<BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr style="MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px">
Do you think someone should make a Halo mod for Half-Life 2? Seeing that Halo 2 was as expected to be.
There are 2 yes's and no's. I did this for a more detailed look at the poll. You can see the differences in the choices.

I love Halo personally, and don't really see a need to redo it for another engine. I think Halo 2 lived up to my expectations

Halo2 is perfectly fine, but why would you want to waste all that time making an unoriginal mod? Take your energy and work ethic and use them to build something new, fun, and unique. If you're so hell bent on making a Halo mod why don't you start by trying to make Coagulation in HL2DM (yes, the jeeps work in DM)

When I started this idea, I should have said Halo like mod for Half-Life 2. You know, with the "Space Marine" like adventures and action. Not really a direct clone of the Halo series. But, I felt seeing what people felt about a direct clone. I believe people would enjoy a Halo mod fo Half-Life 2 if it looked better, behaved realistically, ak physics, and perhaps added more gameplay options, like multiplayer war missions.

I'll tell ya man, if you could give every single HL2 gun a close combat option where you smack people with the butt of your rifle you'd be one giant step towards awesome.

HALO 2 CAN SUCK BALLS, its sooooo bad,
The storyline is just snippets stolen from other games, turok, half life, and there is even elements of certain filmes in there too.
Halo 2 is just halo 1 with duel weilding, i refuse to play either one of them, and as soon as it comes out on pc, i shall spit on it.
Why not make a good mod involving "Space Marines" like a warhammer mod, at least there the marines would not suck, as you could give them fangs and call them space wolves.

I have to admit that the Halo series is one of the better Xbox games
around (if not the best), but I think they should stick to the console.
The last Halo-port to PC was crap (not really optimized), and I don't
think it is even possible to create a mod for it. Just let Bungie port
it to PC, we'll see.

Hey reno.
Halo 2 does have a fun multiplayer mode, yes the vehicles are about the best in any game to date, and the people that play it are generally nice. But (and there's always a but) It plays slowly, and does not feel like you are running, the control systems is lagy and cumbersome, that and its about the only game even worth thinking about playing on Xbox, which hurts the wallet. But what really lets halo 2 down, is its single player mode, halo had an ok single player, that was chalenging and, sometimes, fun, to play. Halo2 is not fun to play, its like the end of halo1, but all the way through, samey and boring.
It could have been great, but there are some unavoidable thing that let it down.
Anyway, from what ive seen, i think halo is like marmite....You either love it, or hate it.
I hate it....for those of you that haven't gathered that already, lol.

It does play quite slow but I wouldn't say thats a bad thing, just an
acquired taste I think  I totally disagree about Halo 2's single
player being boring - on the contrary I find it to be far more varied
and exciting than Halo 1 (albeit with less "wow" factor, due to the
fact its not as brand spanking new as Halo was). I don't see how you
could say Halo 2 is more samey than Halo 1 - don't you remember the
repeating rooms of the covenant ship, or the library?! Halo 2 rarely
re-uses any room with the exception of a couple of chapters, and even
then at least they feature some differences between them. I've
completed it on Heroic and while it wasn't that hard, it was
challenging and I rarely felt I was breezing through it. I'm looking
forward to having more time on my hands so I can play it through on
legendary
And please don't get me started on the Xbox topic, it has a huge number of games beyond Halo worth playing.
