Bah, and I've been wasting all my time at the Gamesnet #snarkpit... Which everyone should, by the way, visit and idle in.

There was more too. I'd post some, but I just closed the window out :/
Its a fun lil' time.
And the channel is the QuakeNet #snarkpit one. Tis better than GN, we sometimes actually hold a conversation, not idle there waiting for something to happen. We're do-ers!

Can't somebody clever be in both channels and run a bot that repeats one channel into the other and visa versa so that they are effectively one channel?

well if i ever get internet on my other sys (starting to wonder when dats gonna happen) i could possibley get ahold of a friend of myn who is well known for his bot scripting. might be too much to ask for though, im not so sure with the channels being on different servers.
but i still think Jirc script for SP would be a great addition. cracks a whip at lep

Wait, what's the point of the repeater bot? We should all just pick one server and stay on it.

Won't ever work. We've been through that before, though. Too many people are stuck on one server due to other rooms they frequent, so its kinda tough picking one.

You know you can be on two servers at once with mIRC, right?
Hit alt+o to bring up the join window, choose your second server, and make sure "open in new window" is checked. There's a command based way to do it too, something like /server -n servername. You could even use mIRC's auto-scripting thing to log you on to every server and chat room you need when it starts up.

yeah, I idle in two, but its hard to actively chat in two different rooms, so I generally stick to just the QN one.

Here at uni its hit or miss whether I can get mIRC working, so a website based one would be a welcome addition.
