hmm mine was ATI..
still try different, or newer drivers.
nVidia is savagely picky, be sure to remove all the previous drivers before installing new ones. driver clashes suck ass.

I just downloaded...I think...some new driver(s)....it was like a 17 meg download from the nvidia site....I will restart in about 20 minutes to see if it made a difference if I have time....
edit:
I say 20 minutes...because I am encoding a dvd right now that is a fairly long process...don't wanna interupt it

crono, its been a couple years since i owned an nVidia card, it was a 440MX i think, but i never successfully installed new drivers without completely removing the old ones. if that info is no longer valid i apologize, but it used to be true.
the fact that you have had different results does not belie my statement however. :/

I bought a 9800 Pro after owning a MX400 for a while. Anyway, I
didn't uninstall the old drivers and got the weirdest effect. It
appeared like both drivers were trying to draw to the screen at the
same time.
Anyway, these cursed ATI drivers have been giving me trouble off an on
since I got this card. It's a lot like my 8mb ATI card I got so I
could play Half-Life in OpenGL mode. It kept crashing in
multiplayer games until I hunted down a stupid patch that should have
been a part of the official updates anyway.
