A lot of people with wirelss don't know how to configure their routers to not broadcast to list collecting cards. Then again, there is a manual that comes with the router. So, I suppose it's their own fault.
So, Hugh, if you feel like exploiting some unchecked buffers you wont get the blame ... until way later depending on what you do.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

There seems to be a lot of people with unprotected wireless
connections. My friend came over today with his new laptop and we were
using my neighbors internet for free.

The same is with me... I suggest strongly against doing it.
It is ok for the occasional web browsing, but if he has a limit and finds out, your in BIG s**t, I mean Big s**t... Talking fines of ?40,000 or so here.
