Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone else is wondering this, or actually knows the answer, but when is CS: Condition Zero actually being released. There have been so many date and developer changes that it seems to have morphed into a never ending story.

I'm wondering this because I have supposedly won a copy in an Australian PC mag called PC Power Play, but have recieved no word of when I'll recieve it due to the postponed releases.

I'll be eternally gratefull to anyone who actually knows of the set, finallised, official release date. Thanks.

I recently had a look at that huge half life 2 video thing (600mb or something ridiculous), and it made me think how realistic these games are getting. Makes you wonder if they'll ever get so realistic that you wont know the difference from real life.

So my point? We're in the middle of a huge step in gaming. The physics are becoming so much more real, the graphics are almost photographic. I think all these new games are worth the wait

Condition Zero development has been a huge mistake these past two years... If it was released when they said it would be, it would have scored huge amounts of money. Unfortunately, every day they wait to release it, they lose money as less and less people play HL based CS.

Yeah that would be funny, too see people bunny hopping around and think they'll respawn when they die. That would be a wonderful world lol.

I think too much attention from game developers is going out to graphics ... all computer magazines and gaming sites now judge the game by screenshots ... what about the gameplay and the fun ?

I really like this article about that fact: http://tf.valve-erc.com/kbase.php?id=17
It seems 'fun' is no longer such a factor in games today. Appearance and polycount is what matters more. With the amount of screenshots and images released from games today as publicity, more attention is turned to what the engine can display and how fast it can do this than how this technology can be used to create a game experience for the player. We see it everywhere - PC and console leisure magazines are infected with a compulsive will to judge games on images alone - even when the images show nothing of the actual gameplay such technology can be used for.
