This is all you need to do:

Make the fan ... anyway you like, it can be a model, or brush, but once it is complete it needs to be a brush based entity (any of them where it stays visible). You could make it a physics entity, for example. The one thing you need ensure is that the entire fan is one entity. Name it.

Make a rotating entity out of a brush ... name it and make it the parent for the fan.

That's it.

That will also allow the fan to be removed and become a physics object (you can make it chop people up too).

But, If you just want a fan, I believe there is a self contained Fan rotating entity of some sort. It would work the same way, but you don't need to make a rotating brush, since the entity it self would have an origin.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

it's not like you would need to make each individual blade seperately, though it sounds as if you think that's what would be required. you can clone a brush/brushes, by dragging it/them while holding down the shift key.

Well, you obviously want the pink tiles with green trim texture....

Show us something once you've built it and we'll be happy to critique it and make suggestions, but I don't think you're going to find this degree of hand-holding here.

In all honesty, I'd just browse the textures and find something that YOU think looks good down there. I don't know if you really expect me to fire up hammer, build a sewer, then see what textures I would use, write them down, and then post em here. I think having someone else choose textures for you kinda defeats the freedom and creativity that comes with mapping.

Seriously those pictures should weight about 50KB(or even less) not
much more... And to some it takes more than a minute to open all
three images for viewing. Not everyone has a broadband. Something
else for you to learn.
