Half-Life: Deathmatch Radiosity

This is an old Half-Life map I found on my Hard drive while reloading my Laptop. I made this map in approximately 1999, but I lost it. It'll be about 7 years before steam gets installed and working again... I hope you enjoy my old-school HL first release!

The map takes place in an aquarium facility, home to different species of sea animals.
It has a pretty big size and is better suited for long range weapons.
R_speeds in this scenario are also higher than what I usually do in HL1 because of the detail needed. The r_speed limitation prevented me from making the architecture I originally had in mind. I will probably make a Source map with a similar theme in the future.
The lightmap grid in the outside area is also something I'm not happy with.

The hardest part of making this map was probably setting up the aquariums themselves, because it involved creating a great deal of transparent textures.
While the fishes are func_rotating, I managed to use tracktrains for the mantarays, which makes them seem a bit more alive.

-This is my very first Deathmatch map.
-The trap/switch found in the pentagram room effects only those outside of the pentagram room.
-Download is only available for roughly 12 Hours daily because its on an apache server, I'll be getting PlanetPhilip to host the file in the future.

Hello its me Trempler , i like to post here my (older) map lavapit , it was from a www.thewall.de map contest , to rework a oldschool map =) , i choose snarkpit.
The source is lost ;/ , and so i can?t fix bugs anymore , only 1 prob in the map some clips are to large ...
But it works without other bugs and it rocks , i hope ^^ :D

This map is medium size. There is a dark strorage area and some corridors. Not any big weapons. Its a Fun lan map. Map inspired by Valve's original c2a3d singeplayer map.
Recommended # of Players: 3-5.

A map inspired by map E1M2 of the original Doom this map was completely scratch made to recreate that of the original, as converting wasnt possible.

Half-Life: Deathmatch USS Paradigm

So.. it's about time I came back, isn't it? Anyway, this map is set on the cargo submarine USS Paradigm.. No real story..

Be wary of button-happy players when you're going for the gluon gun, as shown in the first picture...

Interesting note: From a technical standpoint this is my best map yet, because it runs fine even in software mode.

Half-Life: Deathmatch bar_remix

This is my entry in the new 2006 competition. This room was originally part of the now dead map, "INTERNET" -- the map was abandoned due to engine limitation issues that I couldn't fix. The brush count was above 4k, the entity_brushes were almost at 400, and the clip_nodes were blasting through the roof. It's a pity, since if weren't for those factors, I would have finished it :(

This is what remains of INTERNET, and I ented to extend the bar area with a small library.

THE BAR AREA AND THE LIBRARY WILL BE ONE ROOM. YOU CANNOT LEAVE WHAT YOU SEE IN THE SCREENSHOTS.

Half-Life: Deathmatch killbox_extreme_flybox

Killbox_extreme_flybox is a simple killbox mod with some extras.

The credits go to the original creators. I simply added some stuff

i thought would be nice (like fly a little).

As i am no proffesional and i have a full time job, there are still lots

of things to improve, but i don't have the time. This map is as it is,

there will be no future versions (or at least none that i promise).

Enjoy it. It is a fast paced map for 3 or more users. 2 is dull, 3 is

good, more is almost too fast (the death comes too fast).

I recently lost the original edit file and had to rebuild source form bsp due to a hdd crash, but have a bit of a problem with lights now (this "published" version is the good one, but the source is gone). If anyone wants to rebuild and make the map better, can get the source file form me, as i have no more time to do so.

And, oh yes, known issues: the stairs are not at the same level as the ramp, but as it was better this way, i left it like it is. Also the ramp brushes at the end of the stairs are a bit missaligned. I never had the time to make it proper with other things to do. One flying ramp is without any real target, but makes a good escape from that direction, so i left it there. For the 2 jump pads i used water texture, i know, doesn't make much sense, but... what can i say, never got around to do it better (until the crash came...).
