A map I'm making for my clan. No frills as I wanted to minimize development time. It's a push-style map in a single Z-shaped base. Completely playable as of beta 2.

The solitary "F" in the name stands for Fortification, the name of my clan.

Also, I'm utterly open to even the rudest criticism, so please, if you do happen to play the map -- tell me it's terrible, or amazing, just as long as you tell me exactly what makes it terrible (or amazing.)

UPDATE: I've done a LOT of cosmetic work. I also added a cubby to make it harder for scouts/concers to cap.

Fortress Forever FF_Flare

Designed for CTF Leagueplay.

Open, spaceous bases for smooth offense play.
2 bottlenecks for first line of defense.
One with 2 entrance routes (upper level + ramp) and 1 exit route towards fr.
One with the main ramproom as entrance and 2 exit routes (T-junction and airlift) towards fr.

Difficulty - Easy

Obviously as titled, map designed for the
Soldier class. However, the Scout/Medic and
Demoman classes are available as well for
anyone who is bored or looking for something
to do while playing with others. Have not
tested the map with these classes so I do
not know if all jumps are possible but due
to the difficulty level of the map they
should all be possible (in theory). Two
more to follow in the series, difficulty
increasing obviously. Check the site for
a demo of a run-through for help.

Fortress Forever FF_thecove

This is a remake for FF of thecove.bsp, originally made by Zouave for TFC. The rough layout will be like the TFC version. There's not a lot to say - if you have never seen the original you should take a look at it.

Fortress Forever 4play

This is my newest map, 4play. There are four teams (each with a small base) with a large midyard.

The gameplay is currently undecided. I would like to do something new and unique, but the old standbys of CTF/Demolition/king of the hill might suffice.

I feel this map really shows my growth as a mapper over the past.. wow.. 6 years? Anyhow, each team has a unique base, and specific enemy classes can cause 'hazards' in front of each base (falling rocks, burning underbrush, destroyed bridge over icy water, etc.)

Currently I have 3 of the bases pretty polished. I want to add more to the inside of the Red base, and I am currently building the 4th base (green) and the midfield. Think rocky oregon coast at the foot of a mountain.

Fortress Forever Attrition

This is a small map, meant for no more than 10 players. Each team spawns in a bunker on either side of the platform in the center of the map. You must hold the platform for 20 seconds without the other team entering it to get 1 point for your team. You can also lock down the other team's base (lock doors) by flipping the switch on top of their base.

Everything is done except updating it with FF entities (like 2morforever).

Update May 1st 2007: This map has been running on the Fortress Forever beta server for a while, and is fairly popular. I have updated it by lengthening the field, widening the island and putting FF textures/entities in. I won't release the current version for HL2DM because it has FF content. When FF is released, you will surely discover what a blast it is to play on Attrition.

Fortress Forever 2morforever

May 1st 2007 (International Day of Workers Struggle!) Update: Everything is set and ready to go for when Fortress Forever is released.

I have spoken with the author of the map this is based on (2morfort1_1), AndyC and he has given me props for this quality remake, so I'll say it here: Thanks, AndyC!

All we await now is the release of FF to add its entities, and then this map will be out the door.

Fortress Forever Ramparts

This map is on hold for the time being. This is mostly because a) Fortress Forever took so long to come out that I lost interest and b) after playing FF I realize how sick of TF I really am.

What is most likely to happen is that I will steal some of this architecture to use in a map for Distraction HL2, or open-source it for someone else to cannibalize.

Fortress Forever cjf

Here is CJF, a remake of TFC's cj2 for Fortress Forever ( http://www.fortress-forever.com/ ). It is an archaeological dig, and I have included a blimp, a sexy portal and some other assorted goodness. Comments about theme, choice of props, the blimp, etc. are more than welcome. I have a ways to go, but I want to make it beautiful.
