the newest messenger has webcam options.. get the newer version and lets see how funny we look..

Which messenger?

msn.. and gollum and i just used it.. the new webcam option works fairly well.. he had a good laugh at my ugly puss.. he is trying to set his up for the next session..

well this much is sure, its best for both to have a cam, but not required to function.. our first bout was me only.. mike is setting his up soon..

 

 

no luck with gollums camera.. but gwill had a good laugh.. shame he has no camera either..

Orph, in about two years of being online quite a fair bit, I have not once seen you online (err... except now that is, but you aren't responding :smile: ).

You need Trillian Pro for Webcams.  Unfortunately, I can't use the MSN portion right now until Trillian updates since MSN just upgraded and it causes Trillian to crash right now.

no one has to like msn messenger, ( altho i have never had problems with it, i think people just like to bitch about the microsoft part :sad: ) but at least have the courtesy to download the newest version, and just use it for the camera option..

if you have another usable option  please feel free to do so, but crying about MSN as if it were a crime to exist is poor attitude :razz:

anywho's.. i will be online in a few to accept any incoming camera request in a few..

Well, if you interested in what people like; what we did at one of my other favorite bbs's was all upload pics of ourselves on one post. I got the idea from my buddy "corndog" over there. It beets the hell out of msn. Msn is a very evil prog, and all should stay far far away. I say the same thing about windows, but people don't seem to listen. XD

i have the fringe benefit of having a job that takes me all over the USA.. i have met at least a half dozen of my online friends.. it is a scary experience, not knowing whom you might meet, but a rewarding one so far..

so far, no one at SP have i met, but i have an appointment to meet doc brasso, and KFS when i go to nebraska, and juim when i get to california..

i hope someday to fulfill this event :smile:

I dont have a webcam, but Orph's seems to work well enough. It seems kind of odd though, seeing a person while you talk over a messenger. The framerate isnt great either.

you know, moneyshot and i had a session last night, he lives in texas, and the frame rates were vastly improved.. i reckon distance may play a part in it, cause it had almost no noticeable lag.. the images were nearly real-time..

i bet there is a tweak for this someplace.. but still it is new/unique enuff to be fun as hell...
