Well, obviously, if the idiot took enough time out of their "busy schedule" to register. shrugs

It meant that the web content filter temporarily banned this site for me.
Couldn't you take them to court for liable or something? Actually thats a bit extreme. Somebody pointed out to me a while ago that banning IPs may not be that effective for internet cafes etc.

On my site I have a Xoops Name Filter, as well as a Word filter. I can set it so that certian words cant be used in screen names, or on the site in any form, maybe you should see if your page can do the same thing.
Also on mine I can set Screen names to stone, so there cant be 4 Orpheus's.

Well, I have been around computers all my life, and view the term Hacker as a good word meaning Coder, Programmer, and what not.. I dont know why Hacker had to become a bad word meaning, one who steals, breaks, and cracks code.
I can remember the days when there was no internet, well not a public one anyways. My mom worked at White Sands Missle Range and had access to the Pre-Public version used by the military.. I can also remember BBS's ( Bulliten Board Systems ) That people would put on there home machines to host content.. you would connect to theme by dialing in on you phone and 300 baud modems.. =)
I used to play with Punch cards, used to program Main Frames at White Sands Missle Range. I was playing games on those Main frames from my earliest memory.. Missle Command, Tank Commander, Luner Lander and what not.
Damn did I just give away my age.. heh heh..
I hope you get the SOB..

Well, when I get some time I'll make it so that people aren't actually members until they've authenticated their e-mail address... heh or I could just make registering into a painful 5-page-long process with cunning anti-resubmit gubbins built in

Actually, I just banned people using Mindspring ISP from registering, apparently the only two people who use and visit this site anyway are Rugal and this recent tosser (if they are two different people!)

so the last few genitalia names have had the same general IP?
well as odd as that is, its good news, simplifies the banning process
