First of all, I would like to say hi to all those who remember me (if any). Hope you all are happy and well!
It's been a good 1-2 years sinse I've posted here, so I thought it was about time I signed on to see what's happening in the world of HL and HL2 editing.
I've been thinking of making a map for a while now. Hopefully I find enough motivation to change those thoughts into actions.
Also, is there anyway to change your username around here? I moved on from diablo ages ago.

Its easy enough to get your handle changed but in doing so you give up a part of what made you... you.
It doesn't matter if your name is from an obsolete game or a current favorite, its what you put into it while you were here.
Its why I always counsel people to chose wisely because its something you will have to contend with eventually. I have had my handle for about 20 years. I have used a few others for temporary events but am basically unchanged in all that time.
Whatever you chose, welcome home.

Howdy Diablo, still playing guitar (or whatever instrument it was you played).
Tell us the story of why you left etc. Always interesting to hear.

Like Orphues said don't change it. I've had this stupid avatar for 2 years now and this I'ved used this username online for 3 years now. I wouldn never think of changing it because then people wouldn't recognize me.

I can see changing my avatar. Lot's of times they just reflect my
mood at that point in time. But methinks I'll stick with mine.
5 or 6 years ago I was sHo0tThEcHiCkEn for awhile, but FrenchTOast was better, and it's all I've been ever since.

Send him a PM. Its more than likely he will never see it, nor notice it buried in this thread.

You're right Orph, everyone here knows me as diablo so I'll keep it. I believe that's the 2nd time you have convinced me to stick with it. If you see anyone around with the alias "Volupheles" you will know that is also me.
As for your question Myrk. I had a rough year in 2004, problems with home and school, which lead to me parting with a lot of things including The SnarkPit.
2005 was new beginning for me, started a computer course at VIC UNI, which is going very well. Just started my 2nd year a couple weeks ago.
I still playing guitar, in the middle of looking for a band at the moment.
I often find myself sitting at my computer desk doing absolutely nothing, so I thought this is my chance to get back into mapping.
Good to see a lot of old members still around. Same goes to all the new members.

If I recall, you lost half of your name that time. You kept the better portion however.
Welcome back.

Hey diablo. I think I remember you from late 2003 as I was visiting here a few months before I ever even joined. I think you helped me out with some mapping issues I was having. I do like to see the "older" members come back round.

That's correct Orpheus. The name I was going to choose back then was far worse than Diablo. Thanks for talking me outa that one.
Edit: Is it just me or does The SnarkPit hate Firefox?

No offence, but Volupheles? Whats that? Also haven't you had the same avatar since you joined snarkpit?
As for bands, my advice is to make the effort, because in general its not something that will make the effort to find you. Guitarists are pretty common, so go find a band in a local paper or music shop notice board
Good to see everything is working out now though.
