Not something you see everyday. I dont know wether it just landed on the road (Happened before) but yeah, I was just cruising down the road, minding my own business, and I see this fighter jet driving down the road.

My first thought was "WHO THE f**k LANDS A f**kING FIGHTER JET ON THE f**kING HIGHWAY!!!" .

heh, it's one way to beat the radar.

i thought this was going to be the Australian F-111 that was on the news earlier. it dropped a wheel on take-off, which, when taken into account, made a good landing look bad.

That's pretty cool. Good thing you had a camera with you, or else I doubt people would believe the story! It's just that crazy.

Hey, awesome. I've got no idea why theyd be moving an aircraft like that around on a road... Perhaps it had to make an emergency/training landing, and they were driving it back to its base.

I do know that thats a Hawk, its usually used as a training aircraft. Not many other fighters would be small enough to drive along a highway.

Speaking of planes: A jet from the airshow crashed into a house a couple miles away from where I live on Sunday.

yeah, looks like the BAE systems Hawker, mainly used for training purposes but can be armded with serval heavy ordenance.

EDIT: Looks like it's fake, or there's something really wrong with the elevators.

Just had a good look at it and im sure it didnt land there, if it was there at all.

I noticed and brown spot, couldnt figure it out because it looked blurred and out of focus. But it's the protection canvas you put infront of the motor inlet. So there's no way that plane could have landed there.

If it's real then it might be a mockup.

Yeah. Im pretty sure they did it for show. Seeing that their is a MASSIVE airshow coming up they proberly did it for advertising or something. Doesnt the undercarage look a bit odd?

Btw, it deferntly isnt a fake, since I took the photo.

That doesnt mean anything to me Jimmi.

i noticed that too, its sealed with a pin that is also used to transport airliners around a airfield with one of those 10 tonners.

Here it is obviously used to transport it across the road, wasnt there any police/MP escort with it? Its an rather expensive plane.

It's not something you see everyday? As you said in the GAMER ADDICT thread, when you are an addict real life things become unimportant and boring. One is only interested when a new game is released or something.

Elon, it didnt land. It was just doing a display.
Odd though, it had no escort, nor protection. They where literaly lobbing something worth MILLIONS AND MILLIONS around the N2, the most dangerous road in our region (LOTS of hijackings).

Maybe It had just been stolen
