To be honest, those deer hunter games are about as much fun as sticking hot pins in your eyes. So I don't think it's a very good concept, tbh :/

Are you bashing sticking hot pins into your eyes? What the hell man, don't hate something just because you don't understand it!

Once I played this game called "Deer Hunter" ... it was fun ...
For about 20 seconds, at the moment where I realized this was not an action-packed First Person Shooter, but some stupid game that forced me to wait and wait and wait for animals that won't show up in this demo-version, as I found out a couple of minutes later.
So, not th?t kind of a good idea, but if you can think op some elements that would spice this sort of game up (exploding reindeers !), this could turn out fun.

For a programmer it probably would be easier than learning to map.<!-- Kerio Popup Killer - script has been appended by KPF -->

Hey its me :dorky: wil5on
a deer hunter mod could work... possibly. you really need a whole bunch of ppl, and ppl arent going to join a mod team if its only got 1 person with just an idea. make a few maps, textures, models whatever, see what youre good at, make yourself known in the community, then ppl might be interested in making a mod with u.

It's a SP game were you'd be gordon or something and you'd shoot aliens that run by every now and then

now youre completely changing the concept... it went from deer hunting to freeman shooting aliens! if you want freeman shooting aliens, just make an ordinary sp map. the aliens could come from a monstermaker, run on scripted_sequences. easy.

Technically, spirit is a mod, but really its just a new DLL, with a bunch of cool features.
I think this site should have a Spirit maps section... if it doesnt have one already.
/me checks...
It doesnt...
