Just a friendly reminder to, if able, get on the IRC channel. Ever since I sort of inherited ownership of it, it's been dead. And that makes me sad on the inside. And that's just no good for anyone.

It can be found on the quakenet network at #snarkpit . There's a link at the bottom of all of the pages here that has the info, too. Install mIRC or some other client (since I assume most use Windows here) and that link should automagically work to connect you.

I know this comes up every once in a while, and nothing ever seems to really come about from it, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
Shameless plug.

You already know this, but I'd totally be in there if it weren't for my college connection blocking the necessary ports.

You could always just change the default port. I'm not sure what heuristics they're using to block the port, but it might be a safe bet to just switch it over to a low port (I believe windows still lets you use low ports, doesn't "protect" them well IIRC).

Check out this page, find a service you're not using, and give that port a shot. It could work.

Well holy crap. I just changed the port to the MSN one... and it worked.

Thanks man. I'll idle there now.

Cool, I never knew we had an IRC channel.. I'm always idling in a number of channels, so I added it to my autojoin list. Hooray.

I spend most of my time in #svencoop. D:

And that's in gamesurge -- I don't entirely know if it's possible to be in two different networks at the same time. I've always found IRC to be scary.

tbh, I didn't know it existed.

mIRC's such a hacky program. It's like the internet of 1989.

haha, yeah you can be on as many nets at a time as you wanna. Just "New Server Window" when connecting to the next.

Yeah, IRC is really fun. Because there's not all the complications and stupid smileyfaces and "display pics" and everything else... It's just communication and a constant, universal striving to make a Bash.org quote.

Irregardless, the conversation in IRC is great.

What was covered yesterday?

Poetry, essays, and felatio.
