Do we really need another thread on the same exact subject as the last one that was just posted by you like under a day ago?.. in poll form..?.. which severely limits your choices anyways?..

There's seriousness, and then there's funniness, and then there's ridiculousness.. we usually have both of the first two, but this happens to be at the latter end of the spectrum. If you want to create a thread to mess around and debate about the unoriginal "favorite games!?!11" topic, sure, it's easy to avoid such a thread.. but two on the same thing? It's just pointless clutter.

Half-kidding... but seriously.. there's fun and then there's a waste of space. If you want the first one, please don't bring the second one along with it.

A Newb is someone new who is willing to learn and is just new, as in newbie. They aren't brash or basically r-tards. A noob is the opposite, isn't necessarily new either, but is basically really annoying and acts in such a way that they think they know how things are and don't accept criticism well. Halo and its general populace are not regarded as very uh, scholarly.

You get to choose how you act, but you won't get to pick your label, I'm just suggesting open ears. Age isn't a factor here, regardless of what people like to say but how you present yourself can be hard to shake. This isn't like most message boards on the 'net.

What mod could that be?

I once tried to make a simple mod. I had a simple plan. Ten maps, a bit
of voice acting help from friends some new textures. I managed to do
two maps and get some of the voice acting and then I realised that
there were n+1 small level packs out there and that the quality of my
work was a lot worse than most of them. I quickly scrapped the project
and did a series of small test maps to learn some stuff... Then I
stopped mapping until Paroxysm came along.

A good coder or model artist have a chance of getting a proper mod team
together, but mappers are like hay straws in hay stack. You need be
really f-ing good mapper to attract a team for yourself... I don't know
if you already have a team or not, but I'm sceptical.

Well I dont have a MOD team but I have it all under controll. I have 37 people for voices (Freinds/family) and I have made 137 maps for it out f the about 200+ maps. The only thing it is lacking is models (new) so I'm going to have to Teach my self Modeling. The only worry is Time. I dont know If i'll get it done by DEC 2007

Maybe he's affecting Old English/Emily Dickinson's capitalization style? Considering his plain sophistication, I would not doubt it.

Stop making fun of me. Its a good MOD. Its longer than the Half-life campaign and its funner. You get your H.e.v suit on the 18th levelso its a big intro.

And about the Capitalizing. Its a Habit. Thats all. SORRY

Quality over Quantity.

Even a game run by hundreds of people barely has that many levels/areas. And that's taking liberties.

When it comes to quality, I'm no tight ass. I had a massive glitch with one of the level transitions and I spent over 1 week to get it perfect. And the levels are highly detailed. Its looking pretty nice. i'm looking fowrad to the day i get to play the whole level from start to finish.

but its true what you say.Quality over Quantity. Look at Miniucas for example. Wow thats a good mod. Short bur some of the stuff you see there is just amazing.

My god man, why are you making news posts for a "mod" (if you can call
it that - no you really cant call 200 maps a mod) thats "suposedly"
being released an entire year from now....

So, if you?ve got so much of such high-quality stuff done already, why don't you post some screenshots? Let the players judge whether it's good or not and let your work speak for itself.

Trust me, I?m not going to trust you on the quality unless you show it. Which is only natural, as I don't know you nor do I know how skilled or determined you are. I'm not going to debate your statements, I want to see you backing them up. And that can turn the tide of this topic: it can convince us that you were right about the quality, or it shows us your meaning of top-quality is lower than ours, in which case you could ask for feedback on how to improve it.

Bytheway, 200 maps is a lot, depending on their size and resource cost of course. But how about the gameplay? You said the intro will be long, but is that a correct measurement of fun? Thought of the possibility of it becoming tedious? Of the whole pack becoming repetetive and bland?
