It may be cliched, but I totally feel like opening a thread like this.

Post anything you like here. Pictures, thoughts, links to other sites, things you planned to map but never finished. Generally architecture and environments that feel unusual and could work for a map.

I just stumbled upon this mesmerizing shot of a Namib ghost town buried in sand. Don't know what to make of it but I have a faible for ghost towns, so this is pure gold for me:

This is the best collection of industrial photos iv found. And the photographer makes them look quite elegant.
Reality has become a commodity.

Just enough english to find your way around, all the descriptions are Russian. Tons of images.

Near the bottom are some level concept images for a Star Trek game, plus lots of good scifi-industrial eyecandy throughout.

Oh, I almost forgot this amazing set of photos of the Japanese underground:

There's a a whole book about this with the slightly sexual title "Deep Inside". Amazing stuff. I like the weird, green lights they seem to use everywhere in Japan.

That ghost town reaper you mentioned, reminds me of an old map i was making, long time ago, the map was supposed to be a big urban city, but something had happended, and now it was abandoned,, only the tall buildings could still be seen, the rest was covered in sand.
I never finished it though.
