Moments like this work better in IRC, that way we don't clutter up the forums with quick one-liners like this one.

You don't really have to use mIRC to get on IRC channels ... they didn't invent it, aye.

There are tons of free alternatives: chatzilla, Xirc, ...

San Antonio was great. I wouldn't want to live there or make an extended visit, but the Riverwalk was... wow. Monqui (or Lep, for that matter), happen to eat at Michelino's? Oh bloody hell, that place was amazing. Maggie and I decided we're going sometime - her mom went last summer and also raved about it, so she really wants to go now. I imagine we'll just spend 3 days or so on the Riverwalk eating expensive food at amazing restaurants.

I doubt she'll let me chase mullets like my friend (the one with the camera) and I did on the Alamo Bowl trip, however... teehee.

Its nice to know that my opinions still seem to fall on the opposing side of most conversations.. ( my dislike for texas, and everyone elses love for it)

its good to be back...its also good to have an opposite opinion, thats good enuff not to fight over

i spent 3 months there at camp bullis doing my advanced military training, to make Sergeant.. i truly found it a nasty place.. but as i was born roughly due north at fort hood, you'll have to take my word for my sentiments.

i am glad someone likes texas, cause its an awful lot of state going to waste otherwise :dodgy:

Hey now, I don't like Texas. I'm a Nebraskan, for crying out loud! I did like San Antonio, though. Houston wasn't bad, either, but I only cared about that because I got to see the Astros in their last season at the Astrodome

No kidding about the "expensive food" bit. One of the little steakhouses down there cost us quite the pretty penny. I kid you not, there was a glass of cognac on the desert menu that ran about $175. For. A. Glass. That scared us a wee bit.

Which one was Michelinos? I know we ate at a few of the Italian places down there, but I only remember the name of one...

Michelino's was the one... hmm... Did you see the big orange sculpture thing near the river walk? If you took the stairs down it at that point, it was just right there. Big place, really wide outside eating area... mariachi band... cool guy with a headset standing on the steps waiting to seat you... shrug

Best explanation I can give

EDIT: aha, this one!

My friend kept pushing Boudro's, as it is apparently one of the top 50 restaurants in the nation, but alas, we chose not to spend too much of our meal allowance on the expensive places. Michelino's was our only big splurge, if you will. But oh my was it worth it.

Hahahaha- oh yeah. I remember the Mariachi band, that's what stuck out in my mind. No, I don't think we ever ate there...

I lived in San Antonio for three years, though that was kindergarten (sp?) through 2nd grade. I found it a fun place to live, and when I came back to visit it was a pretty cool place. I love the Riverwalk and the... uh... the big Mexican Market area, or whatever it's called.

Speaking of snow, did you get hit at all yesterday? We got probably 3-4 inches yesterday over about 3 hours.
