It sounds pretty good, but I dont really see how they can implement things like bullet time when there are more than one human players. If two people are fighting in slowed-down time, and another guy is walking past in not-slowed-down time, then the guy walking past would see the fighting people fighting in normal time, and the fighting people would see the guy walking past going very fast (he would be moving at normal speed in slowed-down time which translates to high speed in not-slowed-down time).

Maybe they do it the TS style. i.e., slow down model animations as necessary

Sounds cool. I've only ever heard bad news about the matrix game though. Any one else got it?

Yeah, I have it. It's actually kind of amusing for a little while. The kung-fu battle system is actually pretty nice, and it's really fun to just kick the crap out of like 4 guys surrounding you at once.
But it does lose it's novelty rather fast... I don't think I ever made it past the second level (The non-FPS scenes (or Third person shooter scenes, if you must) were absolutely terrible in my opinion.

yeh Middle Earth Online looks good.
I enjoy a good MMORPG every now and then the last one I played was Ultima Online which was about a year ago.

would play more MMORPG if they didn't have a monthy subscription. Or if I had a larger cash income

Uo's good cos you dont have to play a monthly subscription you can search around for other free servers and most of them are better that the ones you have to subscribe to.

Not so bothered about playing MMOGs myself - though the idea of playing an RPG with a couple of friends co-op stylee appeals greatly.
Last game I played like that was System Shock 2, which was just sublime with two players working together, me as a fast machine-gun toting jack of all trades, while my mate went down the Psi/magic route.
Too many players could spoil the experience for me though, as everyone is just striving for the same goals - making it a very rigid experience.
....that and I don't fancy paying monthly fees as well as for the game

RPGs on the lan are great. I played System Shock 2 with my brother, and Diablo 2 and Baulder's Gate 2 with my brother, brother-inlaw, and sister. it was one big family LAN party

Whoa, hold on there a minute!
Baldur's Gate 2 (which I haven't beat yet) is much more story-focused, so if you like the story you'd like the game. The characters interact with each other much more and have more personality than most of the ones in BG2. It's a pretty badass game, but it did take out my favorite aspect of BG1, which was the random exploring. You can't explore the world map like you could in BG1, which was sorta a downer for me, but the tighter story makes up for it. If you liked BG1 you'll like BG2.
However...
NWN is nowhere near the quality of the Baldur's Gate games. The (in my opinion) lucious, detailed 2D graphics of BG has been replaced by a bland and limited 3D engine. The story swings between really moving and intense to boring to completely retarded. The fighter class is worthless compared to nearly all the others, having no rediculous uber-attacks that kill big creatures in one hit like nearly all the other classes. Your partner will wander into danger and get cut up good during nearly every battle, forcing you to revive them every time... and I could go on.
Basically the compromises Bioware made to NWN to make it a big online game and easily modified hurt the single-player game, and the single player was not up to the standards of BG. If you want to play multi, I would imagine it's sweet, but I wouldn't know considering my school blocks NWN's multiplayer ports.
And to anyone who's played it and beat it, imagine my frustration: I got all the way to the area right before the final battle as a level 14(!) fighter. Like I had a snowball's chance in hell of winning that battle.

NwN is great online, but lacks in single player. I tried out Shadows of Undrentide and found the single player to be much more interesting. To be honest I never got hooked with Single NwN but Undrentide was really fun.

I havn't really gotten very far in NWN. not much time for video games anymore... what I really like better about it is the interface. BG2 really irritated me at times because of the clunky combat system, the inability to cue attacks and the need to control a zillion different characters. I much prefer only having to worry about myself.
also, TBH, the constant bitching of the characters in BG2 irritated me. when I play a game I want to play not sit and read while a computer sprite bitches at me. a good story line is important to the game, but if it's all text dialogue, I'd much rather read a good book. the writing is much better, and the visuals in my head way outpace anything on the computer screen.
I guess I just don't like traditional RPGs much.

heh, to each their own. I guess I find constant bitching draws me into the story and helps me relate. I find going solo to be a lonely experience in RPGs, especially with say Morrowind... I want my buddies backing me up.

Morrowind would have been so much better, even with a two-player co-op mode. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, and both the add-ons added even more depth - but I found myself wanting a buddy to cover my back from all the cliff racers
