i'm in a hurry to get to work atm, so i just pasted the map description below.
a small map that i was making with heavy use of textures by Luneran and Evil. there are some key areas in the map that need re-working so that i can use switchable texture lights. there are some doors that have red lights built into the frame, and when the door is unlocked the lights turn green. i like the effect it gives, but it seems that two of these doors cant exist anywhere near each other or i get the 'too many light styles on a face ' warning. so to remake that etea, i think it will eat into some other parts of the level, and a (almost) complete re-make may be required. that being so, i wanted to upload what i have done so far, in case it doesn't see the light of day in anything like it's present layout.
there are some parts of the level that look very rough, but thems the parts that i'm still thinking of what to do with.
oh, and there's very little in the way of enemies. 2 sg's and some grunts. (i was leaving enemies/weapon placement to last.
btw, i know about the ify ladders too.

Yeah, youve got to fix up those screens.
Other than that, it looks promising.

looks really cool overall. I love the stairs, and the lights over the computer displays, that are in the second pic. few little things to think about, perhaps:
-- halos on some of the lights? not sure how this would work, but I'm a big fan of env_glow
-- a bit more detail & cover in some of these areas
-- a little more contrast and light-sourcing in the lighting? that first pic, for example, seems pretty evenly lit; I don't see any evidence that the illumination is actually coming from those lights.
-- I would try some different rock textures in that final pic, though I love the architecture of that room. or maybe scale the texture down a little if the rspeeds can handle it? something doesn't feel quite right there to me.
can't wait to see more!
