How do you guys feel about Choir arrangements?. In particular, Eric Whitacre conducting "Cloudburst". This is one of the most amazing orchestrations I've ever heard live. Check it out:

Here's another called sleep:

His music is awesome.

I am also quite fond of this song, which accompanies the original 2006 video "Where the Hell is Matt". In the video, Deep Forest is credited with the song, but I have searched High and low for this exact version. I did obtain the album which introduced the song, but it is different from the mix in the Matt video:

Enjoy

Juim If you like choral performances, you might enjoy a few I've been in! I still sing in small groups, but when I was in high-school, I was part of these large 160 people choirs; 20 people per voice part. I sing Bass II, here's a zip of some of my favorites we sang:

Riven's_Choir_Music (56.1 MB)

They're not all really good quality because the recording company they used sometimes wasn't worth crap, but each song is from a different choir and different recording company.

I hope you enjoy them. :)

Thanks Riven. Listening now. Good stuff. It's a shame, you're right about the recording quality of a couple of them though. They are all stellar performances (especially for a high school level choir)
I did, however listen to them all and I was impressed.
My favorite:
Conversion of Saul
In Remembrance
Silent Noon.
Props to you, and thanks for posting.
And!...
I did a quick search, and did not find him here, so I thought I would post a video of this slap guitarist named Andy McKee. He's got a really innovative style. Watch him play here:

Since I am in post mode. I remembered seeing this kid perform Bostons "Foreplay/Longtime" all by him self instrumentally, and with some help from some singing buddies of his, It turned out to be quite an admirable performance. He plays everything all the way through. Here it is:

OK, and lastly for tonight kiddies, I'll introduce you to \http://www.echolyn.com/ Echolyn.A damn decent prog band. This song is currently running around in my head.

OK, I was kidding about being done posting in that last post!!!!! :hee:
Now we go for easy listening.
Another of my current favorites is probably considered "easy Listening". Her name is Eva Cassidy and she was a very talented singer for her particular style, but sadly, her life was taken by skin cancer before her genious was discovered. Here's a couple of her songs.

Apparently, Sting ws moved to tears by this version.

And this was quite possibly the song which made her famous.

Just listened to some soundtracks from the gothic series. Damn they are good :D
I probably posted some of these before already.
This one is not only a song but it also shows a sunrise within Gothic 2 (Sadly the quality isn't very good)
If you click on one of them and type &fmt=18 behind the link the quality of the sound will be better.

Thanks for sharing this with us Riven, yet another good one.

I like the great views you see at the canyons (I always find canyons amazing, maybe on of the reasons why I like HL1 so much heh)

The galaxy is a subject I am always the most interest in, and THAT is probably also a reason why I like exploring planets in Mass Effect 1 :D
