With the excitement all around the world at fever pitch, I wonder how are our, more computer, technology based people feeling about the World Game.
I for one am excited as anything! I got my eyes on of course Australia, but also Italy, Germany, France, RSA, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Argentina and Spain. They're all my favourites I guess. I wouldn't mind Slovenia or Serbia doing well either, since they're close to my origins.
Who are everyone else's favourites?

Haha! Yeah that's what everyone says here because they sent us out of the last World Cup with an unfair penalty. But that was just one person, we can't take it against the whole country. All I know is I'm missing a lot of sleep over football/soccer.

Heh, yeah, it was absolutely horrible, amateurish from our part.
Netherlands, along with Spain, England and Argentina, one of those 4 is going to win the World Cup is my guess.

Is the USA & the EU out of it, due to their tie?

I was at K-Mart yesterday picking up some lawn furniture for my aunt.. when you own a truck I think it must be a requirement to haul shit.. anyways, The guy in the electronic section was screaming his head off about a robbery, and how the refs were raciest and just angry.. watched as the guy was fired on the spot by some manager..
Found out some goal was not counted and it was a tie game instead of a US win.

Yeah, but it would have changed the dynamic quite a bit if England had put in two goals in two minutes. Either way, with Canada not in contention I'm rooting for Germany all the way, though the next match against Argentina won't be pretty.
As a Canadian first and a German second, I'm also just happy the USA won't win.

Funny you should mention that Riven. My dad and my little brother went through München on their way to Croatia, and he told me their airplane was full of Germans, who went absolutely crazy in there watching the game live. Hmm I'm actually quite impressed that the airplane had live streaming of the game, don't know how they managed that.
Having said all that, I, a person who has absolutely no German blood at all, was screaming at the top of my lungs when Germany was scoring. Love Germany!

Between Argentina and Germany, I was simply going for both equally, because they are my two favourite teams, and I said that I would go for whoever won this game all the way. Now, that Germany has won, I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
Almighty Deutschland deserves a sacred reputation!! Thy holiness must be worshipped!!

Absolutely amazing! Haha also amazing was that I fell asleep at Exactly the time the goals were scored, and was woken up by the commentator (it was 4am and I hadn't slept much). That first goal was probably the best of the tournament.
I knew Netherlands was going to come far and I was going for them in all the matches. However, should Germany beat Spain, I'll be going for the Deutsch, sorry Nib, they're just amazing.

Yep, I will be going for the Dutch against Spain. I've placed a bet on Netherlands too. Hope they win! Robben and Sneijder are a killer duo.

Congrats to Spain. Sorry Nib, I still do believe that the Dutch deserved to win. The two chances by Robben should have been goals. Spain had next to nothing happening.
Apart from De Jong showing off his Karate skills and a couple of other bad tackles from Netherlands in the first half, they played very well against Spain.
Maybe next time Nib. Then again, I am putting down my predictions for Brazil 14 right now: Germany will win.
