I just bought a 2001 9C1 police package Impala for $6500. It's a 3.8Litre supercharged V6 with air induction and catback dual exhast, 240+HP, I've only got it to 210KM/H, You need a runway for any faster. It has 110,000km on it. Used to be a York Regional Police car for anybody living in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) I'm Representin' the 905  for anyone living in the area. This car has probably helped bust countless potheads in its day, now it see's more herb than a Cypress Hill Concert :bandit: Gotta love the irony of it  . The only damage on the car so far is a dent in the shape of a face on the hood, can only guess what thats from... .

Round about 1K US Dollars. What I would really like is something like DeathToLag's bike though. Damn that looks classy.

On an unrelated note, I might have gotten a cheap Kawasaki Ninja 650cc from an Uncle in Japan, but it got flattened in an earthquake. One of my life's greatest might-have-beens

All I can say to you american guys is WHAT!? Errm... first cars, and you post a 3.8 litre thing? How do you ever insure that? The others aren't much better. They look like they would either cost more to insure per year than the cost of the car, or simply be refused by the insurance company for a first car  I don't get it...

A_S,

Jeff, as bad as you think your situation is, it's far worse here regarding insurance. For me to get insured on my mothers seat ibiza which is a 1.3 litre it's over 4000 euro. There's some loophole where I can get insured for one month for 60 euro though.

not to brag or anything but my friend took me for a ride in a ferri enzo, went about 210 mph (sorry to all you european people for not using kmph)
Such as, it probably can go 210 m/h (130km/h) but it would be safer to ride a derailing rollercoaster
Ok, I know us Americans are supposed to be ignorant of other cultures and there measurements, but umm, any time in a car at all looking at the dials and stuff should be able to tell you that a kilometer is shorter than a mile. 210 m/h would realistically be like 336 km/h.

Anyway, I can't see how you could possibly buy a flaming red sports car to start off - those will just attract speeding tickets like nothing else.

I gotta say, I think Gimp's first two pics are pretty ugly as well.

If your referring to me, the insurance company considers my car is in the same class as a 3 cylinder Geo Metro  , and I'm Canadian guy, I only pay aboot $100Cnd a month for insurance. Have you ever driven a supercharged 3.8 litre thing...If not thats probably why you don't get it.

Not just you smoke, but yeah. It's not that I don't get it, I'm basically just moaning that young people in other countries can afford to insure big/fast cars.

At 21, I have yet to own a car. this is the one I want though.

Not a very realistic desire

I could probably afford one after I get a job crosses fingers, but I don't want loan that big. 30k USD is a bit steep.

I'll probably go for the wagon:

A little less cool, with a little less horsepower, but it still has plenty of punch for only 20-24k

I wouldn't want the model or year that was shown either. But some of their other years are really nice.

Also, A_S, a McLauren is a more unrealistic dream taking that it costs more then a Lamborghini, also you have to previously own a McLauren car.

If only I could drive, lived in a country where you could buy these, and it was possible to get it insured at my age / driving experience...

Mitsubishi Eclipse - perhaps the car with the nicest rear end in automotive history...unless you put on some daft modded rear lights like most of their owners seem to.

More likely my first car will be this - my sister's current car which my mum gave her when she got a new Mazda. Hopefully when I learn to drive my sister will be wanting a new car and I might get it from her for cheap...

Its a Seat Toledo, about 8 years old or something. Looks pretty much the same as that.

Man, all these wicked low front ends... it may look cool but damn that's a pain to drive. Frankly, my Intrepid's low enough; I already have scratched it to hell just entering not-so-expertly designed driveways.
