How big is your HL folder?

How big is your half-life folder? Dont suddenly install every single mod you have on cd just so you can say youve got a huge HL folder... be honest.

Mine is 5.84GB

Mine isn't what it used to be before one of my reformats a while back - I had at least 7-8 gigs back in the day. :o It's still pretty massive now, though.

My steam folder & HL folder are both above 5 gb :razz:

I'm a mod-whore. (and custom maps too ... I've got about 150 mb on custom TFC maps :razz: )

since mine doesn't exist any longer, i reckon it falls into "less than"

i would mention though, that at one time it was massive, on the order of 8 gigs, before steam. at one time, i critiqued almost every major mapper out there, including scary 1 and apo's maps. truth be told, my hard drive was filled with more incomplete maps than GA prolly has finished ones :biggrin:

i still have a few beta's of some pretty famous maps.. only a very few ever turned down my assistance, which IMO was there loss not mine, but the success of there maps did not seem reflective of this. in all honesty, i didn't feel comfortable helping them anyways, there arrogance was in direct opposition to my belief of helping everyone. you can dig through a s**t-load of maps text files and find my name as beta tester, or some such, but you would never see their names in anyone else's in the same capacity.. like i said, tis their loss :/

We didn't go quite that far!

It used to be big, but I needed the space for KOTOR :biggrin: . Actually all I have is AHL and Sven Coop installed on this machine. Steam tried to install CS behind my back about a month ago. Well I put a stop to that nonsense!!!

Mine is 2gigs. But I keep my maps and .WADs seperate. my .WADs folder is almost a gig and my VHE folder is half a gig.

My folder creeps over 5Gb. However, I also use my steam directory for hammer and all its wads and such as well.

Oh, are we counting maps directories, too? ~3.6 gigs. :wink:

/me keeps clearing it up all the time. It only ever has my own levels or the default ones, so it's around 2GB, but usually less. Now if I count all the stuff I've collected, and not necessarily in my HL folder itself, it's around 4.71 GB.

A healthy ~4.5GB.

I dont play HL or its mods much anymore, so last time i did a complete format of my hard drive i only installed HL and CS.

mine was about 10 gig. but then my comp crashed and i only have 20-30 mods installed rihgt now. that was first between 100-200 oresomething like that. i lost the count. :dorky:

well, i had the ost crappie mods out there wich i could find, but also some fun small mods liek rocker crowbar, there where a few people who run servers for it all the time but that isnt anymore, very shamefull

Did you have a .FGD for every mod? :biggrin:
