wow well you can just buy a large fan for only 20 bucks and install it on your card and it will be just as good.

And you cant upgrade your GPU by overclocking it.

I'd wait until ATi offers up their competition before turning into some sort of nVidia fanboy.

Hmm. That card has a cooling system very simular to Laptops, inparticular ThinkPads. (Fan cools down a large piece of conductive metal which is touching the processing unit through a small heatsync)

I don't know, that price is a wee bit high for my taste, however, it's lower then the original GeForce3.

I'd wait to see what else comes out in the next while. It's not really smart to buy the newest item on the market in regards to hardware.

I completly agree. But I. Am happy for a different reason. With the new line of GPU's comming out, this means their "old" models like the 57 and 59's will price drop. I think?

Right, they will drop in price, rather rapidly too, but they will also become much harder to find the cheaper they become.

Actually, in hardware its usually best not to get the newest item, or the 'first to release' item, since their development life span was probably cut short. Its better to get one later on after consumer reports and tweaks/recalls/other BS.

Oh and having them cost more then $200-$250 (US) is not an insentive to buy in my opinion.

Im not going to be buying a video card anytime soon though. I dont have the money. And my GF4 runs nicely overclocked. But yes Crono, you are entirely correct.

Orph, DVI is just digital. That's all. and there are converters (I'm sure the card comes with one, my GeForce 4 did) which are DVI to VGA adapters.

Also, you're wrong, TFT screen are VGA as well (I'm using one at the moment). Some newer ones are DVI, but I'm pretty sure that DVI is mostly for Plasma stuff.
