Pretty much what he said, but you have to make a trigger_hurt and set the Damage Type menu to "slime" or whatever it is you want.

You can't do God mode or Quad Damage in normal HLDM.

I'm sorry Chip, I don't think you can do it in TFC either. You would have to make your own mod and write the code for something like quad damage yourself if you wanted to have that.

Ah, I didn't know about that.
Well there you go then, you need to use the info_tfgoal entity.

What's the deal with you people making a trigger_multiple for everything? Just make a big block everywhere you want the player to take damage, and then hit "tie to entity" and pick "trigger_hurt". The box will become invisible but whenever the player is in it, they will get hurt.

the deal is.. when i look at a map in hammer, i wanna know what it is.. and a big pink AAA trigger is hard to overlook..
i agree though, you can use almost any texture.. but i hate sloppy.. i will use the pink yucky one
personally, i would prefer, if i have to look at someone elses .rmf, to have theirs pink as well, so i don't spread the knowledge that any texture will suffice :heee:

The trigger_multiple is an entity orph, not a texture. You can't set a trigger_multiple to be a trigger_hurt, its one or the other, not both. The pink aaa_trigger texture is a texture typically used on brush entities to make them obvious, be it a trigger_multiple entity, a trigger_hurt entity, or any other sort of brush entity.

Ok thanks for the replies guys. O yah and another question i'm guessing u use the samething but not sure tfgoal or not but i'm trying also to place an airstrike on the map. Allowing civs to press for the airstrike so people outside die sort of like cross-fire. And Reno i killed a guy in FF7 with the same name just a bit ago i'm replaying it

Airstrikes are a different problem that have been asked before, do a quick search for them. Should be a fairly simple TFC setup which lets only the civ (his team) press the button.
