Anyone using these 'alternative' tools to compile ? The website promises a CSG and RAD speedup, but I'd like to see some facts before I try it.

I suggest you download them, and take a look at the documentation to find out the benefits of using the tools. They add some functionality as well as behind the scenes improvements. I've not tested if they improve compile times but they claim to, and I don't doubt it really.

No doubt, they d? compile faster ... I recommend everyone these custom builds of the compile tools. VIS won about 5 minutes for me ... and it's not a big map yet, so it could make a hell of a difference in compile time for bigger maps.

I just use them because of the MAX_PLANES fix.

I use it for the planes, I don't find it compiling any faster but the planes is absolutely necessary for me. At least the opt_plns.exe is great. The precise hull sounds nice, but in practice was terrible for me at least. Just made every wall stick like glue.
