Set its angle the direction you want it to rise and target it with a trigger or button. :S

to add to this..

pretend its a door, the only difference is you don't need to set the water to func_door, func_water has the option already.

so find a door tut, use the idea in it to trigger the water to go up/down

hope that made sense :smile:

well woulndt making it a func_door work as long as it was a water texture?

I thought water was already just a spawn off of the door function with slight tweaks.

Important comment

If you do not specify some lip value in the properties of the func_water it will disappear when it stops moving. just set it to 1 or something and it solves the problem.
