:confused:

Ok, this is my dilema! I am 99% done with my map and i was trying to play it on CS, didnt work...but thats another story...then i restarted my computer and then when i re-opened my map, all the entites are pink/purple squares. They all have the properites of the entities that there surposed to be but they are all pink squares. Then when i press F9, it freezes, i think this is because of the entities. Can someone help me!?

::Edit::

I got the things to work, but now the compiling thing is crunked! (exscue my vinacular) :dorky:

Uh... well.. deping on which version of WorldCraft or Valve Hammer Editor you're using, it's actually natural for your entities to look pink and purple :razz:

In the very very old WC2.1, sometimes entities will change color randomly. It's no problem, only a visual glitch in the compiler, and shouldn't effect your map at all.

Question -- why do you press f9? What's it do?

Wild guess -> doesn't F9 start the compile process ?

Anyway, you can download the newest VHE version on http://collective.valve-erc.com/

If you do download the newest version, keep in mind that it is meant to
be installed OVER the top of version 3.4, it is NOT meant as a
standalone version.

BTW, you may want to look into using an external compiler such as HLCC or Nem's batch compiler.

okay first things first.... to solve the purple square thing make sure you have the proper FGD file in place...that should allow bsp to compile and thus allowing vis to compile in the future.... hope this helps.
