Come on, sing with me
Im a pilot!
Im a pilot!
Im a piiiiiilot, your a prick!
Dont you wish you were a pilot,
But your not, so suck my **** (oops  )
Hey guys, long time no see but unfortunatly for all of you you'll start seeing more of me soon. I get home Sunday night. I had my MOT exam (Ministry of Transport) last Saturday and I got a 73% on it. Not the greatest but meh. Its a 100 question multiple choice exam on the theoretical aspects of flying. And this morning I had my flight test. It comprises of a 30 minute ground interview asking questions on the practical side of flying and that was followed by a 1.5 hour flight test.
I got a 85% on the flight test, and am, as of now, a fully licenced private pilot checked out on Cessna 152's. I might get checked out on 172's as well (a larger version of a 152) if I have time.
Dont worry about pictures, I have plenty of them to come, I just have to get home first so I can develop them. I have 4 disposable cameras filled. As well, as one full camera with nothing but my solo cross country I did with my friend Chris. Of course, we were in 2 different airplanes. But I wont tell you more than that, I leave it as a suprise, but rest assured, it will be well worth the wait.
So the end of the 7 week course is nearing, there is still tomorow, and Thursday. On Friday we leave Cedars to return to St Jean for the graduation parade and then on Sunday we all return home. Where I will be able to sleep in my own bed, and eat my own food. No more of this 3 meals a day of truck stop food. Its a good way to get a heart attack or something like that at a young age.
Of course, I will be continuing my flying after camp, its too much fun to stop. I'll just have to find a way to rack up the cash. Average pricings are about 100$ per hour. Canadian currency of course.
Thats about all I can say for now, I dont have much time, and I dont have pictures yet to show you guys. But you'll get more later.
Take care,
Wild Card

Flying's great, isn't it?? I stopped about half a year back as the only
way to do it here and still be able to do funfun aerobatics is with the
RAF, which I couldn't stand any more (death to uniforms!). The times I
did go flying were memorably to say the least, however...was flying the
"Tutor" or something. Well done, hope you have as much fun as I did!

Flying = fun. I'm not much of a fan of Cessnas, but it beats driving I guess
I'm not sure how it works over there, but here if you have a private license youre allowed to fly any aircraft designated as "training". Thats pretty much any small fixed gear piston engine thing (not sure about the 172 but I think it counts).
What are you planning on doing after all this training? Airlines?

Kinda seems redundant to say..but.. I wish I could fly.... To bad I cant because I wear corrective lenses... makes it impossible down here....

It stops you from getting into most air forces afaik, but you should be fine if youve got the $$$ to get civvie training.
