Yeah, HL is crazy like that. What kind of compile did you run? Did you run VIS? VIS isn't being blocked. Clip brushes don't block vis to my knowledge... You should try using some HINT brushes, I think. Either that, or run full vis if you havn't already.

if the entrance at the front leads straight into that room, then i dont think a full vis would make any difference.
you need to block the players line of sight from outside into the room. or put a roof on the outside.

Increase the height on those castle walls a bit so you can't see it. If you can from outside the castle, then its rather abstract that its bigger on the inside than on the outside.

I had this problem when working on Classic. I could see an indoor area outside through my sky. The solution I found was to drag a nice big huge HINT brush over the area where you're seeing it.
Hint -- custom vis algorithyms. From my experience, it can fix your problem. You DO NEED Zoner's to get it to work though.
