I was wondering if func_walls are able to VIS block, and if they are, should i use them over a solid brush?

Func_walls cannot block VIS. They are brush entities and do not cut
directly into the World. It's perfectly acceptable to use them over a
solid brush.
Personally, I'm surprised that you searched before posting this thread
and didn't come up with a solution already posted. Oh well.

They don't vis block as far as I know.
You should use the type of brush or entity that the task calls for.
You don't want to drive your entity limit up on meaningless, un-needed entities.
Use a func_wall for state changing (or a func_wall_toggle), to stop face splitting, or for some desired effect that requires this entity.
Edit:
Oh well

i am trying hard not to sound rude, but i gotta ask, how can someone have a repertory of maps you have in your profile, and be asking level 1 question like this?
disregard this question if your only response is a follow up rude response..

Hope so.
Unimpressive work is a required stepping stone for everyone, but I'm always depressed when I look at a new map and it is s**t. It's like opening a Christmas present and finding a lump of coal.
