There are many HL1 mappers around, especially CS mappers that work for
CS15. You know, the rebels who refuse STEAM's domination over the
Half-life world (since CS16). But I guess they'll eventually move on to
HL2/CS:S or some other game.
Too bad you won't be able to map for HL2, it's great. And it pains me
to admit it, but the new hammer isn't such a sh*t editor as I originaly
thought, although it still has many bugs.

I am still mapping for HL1. I am kind of glad I still do because people seem to excpect so much in a HL2 map  . I do kind of wish I could map for HL2 though because it has some cool things that i want to make (like the cars that don't have to only go along the path corners you set out and screens that show where a camera is looking)

does anyone still play DM for Half-Life 1? I was vaguely considering converting my Temple map from Action HL to HLDM.

I still map for HL1, mainly 'cause I don't have HL2 yet. :-(

Oooh, sorry for my question then... I still live with my parents, but everyone I know who started on his own went through that: they had to live on pasta the first few months...
Good luck!!
