But yes, it can get worse.

I myself am a cat owner and I think that what those people do is just SICK! Those morons should themselves be stuck in bowls just to see how they like it. No, wait, after seeing the self-mutilation thread and after reading the foot wrapping thing, I think these people would find it rather pleasant in that bowl. Sickoes!

ding, none of it is serious. it's a big kid-on. the site is a joke.

i thought it was quite funny tbh. some of the speciality jars are class, like the one that fuses the end of the tail onto the side of the body, to make a handy carrying strap. or the one shaped like a dog, i laughed at the idea of that one.

the cats that it showed you in the jars were all perfectly happy by the look of them. i've seen my mates cats crawling into even tighter spaces for a sleep.

is ok

Dunno how 'happy' they are...but I am certain they were maybe shoved in there simply to take their pictures before they sprung back out.

Are you guys taking these things seriously? I am betting that the kitten website is set up by PETA or some animal rights organization. They want us to feel disgusted and outraged.

All the guestbook entries are canned, including the replies. Anyone with the ability to set up their own website can say whatever they want to on the internet. That's why believing what you read on the internet could be a dangerous thing.

It takes less effort and money than printing nowadays with this new medium, but the gullible public still eats it up as the truth as long as it's on paper or on their monitor.

I could say that I just drank bicycle lubricant for lunch, but since you know me (or at least that I made you believe that you do), you wouldn't buy into it. For that matter, I could be a serial rapist convicted to life in prison, and I am typing from the library in the detention center right now.

Guys, as fishy has already pointed out, this website is based around a joke. They don't put kittens in jars or anything- I think the point is to show how gullible and over-trusting people are when it comes to reading things on the internet...

the best 'strange' movie that i ever seen was one called Bad Boy Buba (maybe Bubba) there was a scene that involved a cat that was tightly wrapped in clingfilm, all except its head, and tied up to a dining chair. this was an extremely unhappy cat. whether the cat came to any real physical harm or not, i don't know, but i have a feeling it did, because later in the film, buba's freinds complain about the smell from his bag, and when they look to see what it is, it's a dead cat, completely clingfilmed this time, head and all. to me, it looked like a very real, and very dead cat.

poor little feker.

As if to emphasize this very point...

www.savetoby.com

Apparently the total isn't working, but last time I check the site
claimed they had received 28,000+ USD in donations via paypal.

Wonder if anyone's actually stupid enough to pay. People eat meat everyday, so what the heck.

But the chinese (me thinks) really do mutilate kittens and other small
animals! I'm not sure if they do it by sticking them in yoghurt cans or
fishbowls, but i've seen mutated cats, with VERY small legs (they kinda
reminded me of the combine advisor  ) or with unnaturally shaped
skulls. This site maybe a joke, but it's based on reality.

I don't know about that. I've never heard of anything like that
from the Chinese half of my family, nor have I seen anything like that
on my trips to China. There may be injured, malformed cats
hobbling around on the streets, but I doubt they were purposefully
mutilated by the Chinese.

Whilst we're on the topic of bizarre websites that are hard to tell whether or not they're true:

http://www.dogcondoms.com/

Just stop and think about that URL before clicking.

I think I see a few design flaws there (e.g. being "meat scented"- won't this be a problem in the proximity of other hungry dogs..?)
