i was just wondering if CS:S had the same underwater bullet 'tracers' of bubbles, that i so giddily saw during a fight in one of the canal SP levels. Do i need 'expensive' over 'cheap' water for these effects?

Er, I think 'cheap' and 'expensive' water only determines what the surface looks like. Are these "bullet streaks" something you can see on existing levels, and if so, where?

I never saw them in any map before. Most of them official
counter-strike: source map don't have large swimming pools or rivers
deep enough to swim or something like that, so they aren't really
necessary.

I saw that too, during the Route Kanal levels and possibly Nova Prospekt as well. I don't know how to implement it, but I know the engine is capable of rendering the effect.

Is it really that important? It's just some bubbles. Plus, you can't fire guns underwater either, so it's kind of a deathtrap.
