I tried some translators, but they translate it using russian characters, and most people dont have the language packs to correctly see the text...

I know Orph, and thank you Andrei.
I think i'm gonna change it to 'abandoned' in russian which should be something like ' покинуто '(or in plain ASCII text Noknhyto) Or just name it cs/de_abandoned...

German word for abandoned seems also very tempting: 'verlassen'

Yes, I noticed some translator sites give different meanings to the same word, forsaken for example sometimes means 'aufgegeben' and sometimes 'verlassen'...

The screenshot reminds me of STALKER. Could become a nice level if you get a decent layout for it. Good luck!

Yes a new name would be good. There already is a dm_forsaken which was one of the fileplanet map pack releases. I have it in the rotation at the diner.

K, added new screenshots, and i noticed that when you use a skybox with a white bottom, the props(or some of them) get a white glow from below....pretty wierd if you ask me
edit And apparently the last 2 screens got deleted...

Keep this theme up and this will be a very good loooking map.
Especially like pic 3, really looks like a bleak Cold War style
military base

In Soviet Russia, we could not afford yellow, so we had green lightbulbs.
Do you have a centerpiece or central building planned yet?

Those bunkers in picture 3 are reminiscent of the bunkers in what used
to be the canyon area of the sourced version of de_prodigy. I
like them.

Looks quite open, I'd like to check out the game play. Still
looks like you have quite some ways to go though. keep it up

I haven't really planned any centrale places or bombsites. I'll think I just continue building what's in my head, and then look for some good places where you expect to find a bombsite...

i always do that ,but make sure you don't end up with no good open or big enough places as the Ts do need soem space and cover to guard the bomb and ct needs enough ways ( 2 atleast) to get to the bomb.
it looks amaizing so far and i think this can be a realy good map if you finish it of good
good luck with it and i hope it all works out.

Sadly I didn't saw this coming, but I've decided this project needs to be undergoing a major change of direction. When I made some drawings of how to get good connectivity while still looking like a military base, I found out that it would be massively open. And thus would result in huge area's hat would have to be rendered simultaneously...
Therefore I've decided to skip the idea of a large open map, into a base below 20 feet of earth, with a abandoned ballistic missile launch site etc. Some area's (the first screen of the reception hall) will not be flushed away, other's (outside area) will be deleted.

Well, that's unfortunate. However I'm glad you saw the
shortcomings of your layout and instead of stubbornly pressing on
you've decided to make a big change that will hopefully lead to a great
map. Good luck!
