I was reading this one forum posted before and it made me wonder. How many computers does the average Half-Life gamer/mapper have?

I myself have about 5 currently, over my life time, I've probably destroyed about 5 more. Only 2 are viable gaming platforms. and 1 is soon to become a private server.

I know that 7 and up won't be answered that much, if not at all.

How many I have right now, or how many I've had in my life?

Currently, I have 1 system up and running. In my life, I've had about 3
computers, though sometimes that merges a bit since I buy them in
seperate pieces.

10+ that are plugged in that you use? We're not talking about that old 386SX in your attic...

I've got 3 capable of playing Half-Life. My other one's a 486DX2, so it doesn't count.

I have 3 on almost every day. This one, my old P-III 500 that i use to gab on. it is able to run HL1 and such so I consider it still game worthy.

My last PC, which is a P-IV 1.8ghz.. And my new baby the massive 3500+

I do have a celeron 700 i use to store things on, but its currently not hooked to the net, so I am not counting it. So, I have 3 game PC's.

The best things in life, aren't things.

1  but maybe this summer a crappy laptop, or a new desktop is in my future.

there was a typo in my question. I meant to put a ";" before "lifetime, instead of a ",". I currently have 5 working computers. 5 more over my lifetime have either been trashed or decided to take up the bad habit of smoking. So about thats ten my whole life. I just wanted to know how many commonly used computers a half-life player/moder has at this very moment. Client, server, and laptop alike.

There are about 9 computers in my house that could play HL1.
I've lost count. There's just too many computers in my house.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Hmm, bit of a tough one to give a single clear answer to, so here are
several! I own 1 built computer, and own all the necessary bits for
another if I ever had occasion to plug it together, so I guess 2
really. There is also another computer that is our family computer,
which isn't "mine" per se though I built it and chose most of the
components. Also, in my flat at uni we have 5 computers, though again
they aren't mine but are owned by all my different flatmates. Make of
that what you will I guess - I voted for 1/2 since I personally own 2.
