open the .vmt files associated with each of the textures mentioned in the log. either delete the line that has $surfaceprop stone, or change it to %surfaceprop rock

Umm... do you really expect me to be able to repack the GCF-s and
upload it to Steam so that everyone could be able to get updated
version? Or do I just have to extract them from there and change the
line so only I have the "updated" version?

Does people who play the map are going to have any errors?

hmm, i assumed when i seen your compile log that these were custom textures that you'd dl'd or made. i realise after having a poke around my cs textures that i have them too, and no doubt everyone else also has them.

either way, whether you edit the $surfaceprop line out, or whether you change its value to rock, the changes will only show on your machine. both ways will end the compile message that you want to lose, but changing the value of it to rock would make the whole texture act like rock(even the wooden doors, but again only on your comp).

so extracting the .vmt's and deleting the $surfaceprop line would be the best option if you want a clean compile log. none of this will have any effect on other peoples comps, only on yours.

you dont need to repack the vmt's into a gcf either. you'd only need to make a materials/stone folder to put them in.

But this "warning" or whatever... does this do any harm to the map or playability?

there will be no problems with playability. it's not even a warning. it's just the compile process letting you know that it's assigning default surface properties to those materials, because it can't find the surface property specified in those materials' vmt files.

Yeah, there's no surface property for "stone." You have to use either
concrete or rock instead, if you want little particle effects when
people shoot at it or special footstep sounds.

Hmm... /me gets into thinking... Inferno used these textures... so they
MUST have the stone somewhere... well - let us hope that they will
include it some day...
