Well, it's out. Personally I'd give it a stamp of hate if I could, the controls are slow and annoying, and more often than not I keep sliding for some reason (because the controls have b0rked rather than it being Gordon on ice) into those oh so original bottomless holes of death. Rubbish.

I found it fun, more or less bug-less as well. I happened to be the 5th person in the world to complete it (according to the scoreboard at least  ). Damned impressive for a fan game, especially one made using flash.

My computer locked up when i tried to exit. I was in an area where i could not see myself. My task manager shut it down but i still could not escape the game. I dont think i'll be going back.

I think that's when you use the flashlight. Did someone not adjust his controls and play the tutorial?
I liked it, personally. Simple, but fun. Nothing I'll play for hours on end, but definitely good for killing some time now and then. Like I have time to kill.
I love the dialogue, heh.

I'll download it tonight. Looks fun. I didn't want to download it at the exact time of release, because Steam usually goes wacky for 3 hours at a new release.

You could have 'pre-loaded' it.
I played it. it's very hard to get used to.
however, I played a flash game like this once (except the bullets hit exactly at the crosshair ONLY) It was pretty awesome. I wish I saved the link, Vash sent it to me.
Anyway.
Lep, that "ice" effect seemed to happen if your computer started getting bogged down. (it happened a couple times to me).
I stopped playing when I got stuck in the wall :\
However, its pretty awesome for flash (but the other game I played had very good gibbing and such.)

I dont like it, cant get past the first level..theres no way to prevent you form getting headcrabbed...and ya like lep said the damn ice effect is too much..evne for my 1ghz 128MB of ram computer...its not much nowadays but if a flash game lags with this when the real game is just fine...ill stick to the real one thanks!

use the crowbar.
Try turning down the settings. Flash is a resource hog.

Well, what do ya know? Abuse is free-ware now. DLing it now, going to play later. I always love a good platformer. And it's only 2.9 megs.

Force, ITS FLASH.
And depending on how you make games in flash it can be laggy or not. Its really weird.

Good platformers are good (deep huh?) I just played it ... kinda cute.... kinda goes beyond the word "pathetic". kinda cute though listening to barney bitch and moan about being 2d, and about Gorden's M.I.T.

It seems okay. More puzzles with the gravity-gun would have made it a lot better though.

Oh there's a reason.
Usually its a garbage collector (such as with Java). The problem is you cannot explicitly call it because it will be envoked at some point in time (even after the execution).
But, with Javascript, do you mean in IE? if you do, that's because IE uses js1.1, which is total s**t.
Certain scripts run beautifully, it all depends on they're written.
In this case, I'm just guessing, but I think Flash has a Garbage Collector, or a memory manager of some sort. And they might of wrote a small script to keep a certain amount of memory open, who knows (besides the developers of course).

566, geforce2
hey, at least it's not a geforce2mx
But seriously, how can I run Vice City, a fully 3D, super interactive game, and not some sidescrolling 2D nonsense? Flash is just plain bad if you ask me.
