Absence for a while!

You may or may not have noticed I haven't really been around for the past few days - i've sadly been spending my time in hospital after me and my friend were attacked in the city centre after our usual Friday night out (2 of us, 5 of them, nice odds  :sad:  ) So, 1 broken cheekbone, several teeth and 3 metal plates grafted to my skull later, i'm out :smile: However, I wont be around as much because reading/using PC's etc is quite hard on the old eye, makes it all blurry after about 30 minutes :smile:

So all behave while i'm resting and recuperating, otherwise i'll sort y'all out when I get back :razz:

Cripes.  I don't really know what to say.  That's absolutely sodding awful.  I hope there is no lasting damage.

You sound like your usual positive self though, which is good to hear.  Take care and take your time, and best of luck with your recovery.  You'll be missed here of course :smile:

typical UK violence tbh, Something needs to be done. Too often its people getting attacked for things such as the music they listen to, At least in my experience.

No, I was just curious what the motivation was- robbery, personal vendetta, etc. Probably a bit off-color given the timing, didn't mean to offend.

And I've ben a part of a few fights... can't say that I've ever had a real ass-whippin though.

if you plan on a tussle, don't do the gentlemanly thing and stop when they fall down... keep pounding till something breaks, either your hands or their faces...

be sure, you don't want to have to do it twice...

Sorry to hear Gwil, but at least is good to hear from you.  Hope you get well soon, and we'll all be waiting patiently for you to come back and dicipline us :wink:

That sound a little like what happened to me and my mate last weekend :sad: We were walking back to his house after turf-out time only to bump into a 10-strong gaggle of 'townies' (or whatever you want to call 'em - neanderthals fits quite well :smile: ). They started hurling abuse at us for looking different, calling us greasers, freaks and whatnot. Being sensible and realising that 2 vs. 10 wasn't really a fair fight, we walked down to the bottom end of town to avoid them (cowardly yes...sensible, definitely).

Unfortunately they were waiting for us at the other end :sad: They proceeded to start their pounding (their excuse was that because we had turned our backs on them and walked away, we deserved a royal beating....go figure!).

Anyway, the police pulled up just in time. Never really been a fan of the police until now, but they were really helpful and stayed around until the apemen had run off. They even had a chat with us. It's a shame not a lot more can be done - i'd love for them to have all been arrested and taken down to the station.

I don't understand the mentallity behind UK pub culture to be honest. How is it only a good night out if you manage to beat up someone who can't fight back?!

lucky bast tbh, Never any police here. Allot of townies / anti-rockers also. They are sickening to say the least, Nothing we can do though.

Gotta have me photies taken by the police tomorrow, so I can get some money for lost earnings, distress, metal plates yadda yadda!

Worst thing is, with the swollen up eye, reading, television and the PC all give it jip after about 20 minutes :sad: So my last resort, the pub for a pint looked good.. but im not allowed alcohol with my medication course!  Bugger, bugger, bugger!

Nothing hurts more than being seperated from the place you like to go.  me remembers Gwil always telling me on MSN he was going there.  Get better soon before they forget what "the usual" means :smile:
