C) The thieves were clumsy idiots who dropped it at least once on the way out.

It took a couple of days for them to come, like 2-4 days. Don't know if it depends on how often/much you use the account.

It's a marketing gimmick. Everyone wants one because they're exclusive.

That, and it gives them a chance to expand their capacity in a controlled way. If they just throw it open to the public, I doubt they can handle the load.
