Did you NOT see my post on how I made a whopping 18 cents?

They make BOATLOADS of money. As in boats just freakin loaded with money.

But then again, we only had one and it was on a page that was rather old, so not many people looked at it.

We use the pop up and banner idea to make the 800 billion dollars we need. Then we buy Russia control the servers. We sell people's e-mail addresses to weight loss and porn companies and then we buy one of NASA's shuttles. We setup a colony on mars and the moon. Once we control them we sell realestate on them to rich people like Charile SHeen who we kidnap and make him star in our SNarkpit movie of Half Life. It turns out to be the best movie ever so we broadcast into space and its so good aliens come to visit us and help us with our milkshake technology so that we can make the best milkshakes in the universe. Then we can watch our movie on the moon while sipping on milkshakes.

So what do you guys think of my plan?

They do, but you need an insane amount
to make anything substantial to support this site. So in other words,
no, not really.

I was thinking, whenever I look at the HL/HL2 editing problems, it's always new people, and quite a few don't stick around. Maybe you could do it that you have to of posted 100 times before you can submit a question in there.

I think you need a slap for that Sloth  Thats gotta be about the
worst suggestion I've ever heard man! That would be in direct
contradiction to what editing sites like this exist for, and would only
go to further the "closed community" reputation we seem to be earning
that most of us want to get rid of.

Bandwidth usage isn't determined by number of
people. It's determined by data transfered. I have no doubt that
being dicks to new comers and making them leave will not stop them
from downloading people maps (which are the REAL bandwidth monsters) or
looking at tutorials.

So, how exactly would it make a
meaningful impact on the bandwidth usage?

Yeah. I think we already concluded that limiting the number of people is a pretty s**tty solution to a bandwidth problem. It would be just a mite pointless.

Having "minimum post limits" is a bad idea. One reason why is because some idiots might come along and have a spam-fest, just so they can ask a question. Perhaps a better idea would be a lengthier procedure for a first time post... Another reason is that the editing forums are one of the main reasons people come here!

Maybe the snarkpit is TOO appealing. Maybe Lep should change the layout a bit; a flashy green with pink flowers instead of the sober black background. This way, the common visitors will be disturbed and run away, and only the REAL snarkpitters will stay... Or not...

Well taking into acount its a 31 day month, and we have 60GB max and 1GB left, about 1.9Gb ish a day. So we should conk out about 5pm ish UK time I reckon, maybe earlier because we will all be on here trying to get stuff before it dies. Nm...

My idea- make it so you have to be a registered user to view tutorials or anything.

I can see only one way around this:

To get more bandwidth you would have to pay more, so why don't you just get a donations page on, if worst comes to worst you could always get hosted by that other website, i've forgoten it but i no kornflakes is hosted by them (i think!)

The site doesnt have too many bandwidth problems from my prespective at least. Although there are many tweaks that could be made as things started to get worse, or to save some cash at least.

If you put a paypal jobby up, I'll donate regardless of the bandwidth we use in a month.

its a sleep disorder of some kind. the older i get, the less i sleep. problem is, i do not wake up refreshed after the shorter intervals, i just wake up.

usually, i can go back to sleep after a time, but then i wake up with a raging headache. so its a no win scenario.

i have always been a fast person to wake up however, so i usually function in just a minute or so.
just once, i would like to wake up and feel as if i went to bed.
