Haha, classic. Those sirens are pretty loud and convincing, coupled with stupid robbers leads to crime fighting fantasticness.
Am I the only person who thinks the word "burglarize/se" sounds stupid and engineered? Burgle suffices just fine... Oh well.

Burglarize sounds like a Bush-ism to be honest  Nice story, its good to see a play on the old "blame it for everything" news.

That just sounds implausable...I mean, if they thought they were surrounded by cops why would they run out of the house? If it were true, why wouldn't that have been bigger news considering it says it happened in March? That page looks so fake, you'd think any reputable news page wouldn't have 7,000 ads on it.

Off Topic Warning
They've actually done some pretty interesting work on using video games as pain relievers. It seems that distracting burn victims with virtual reality video games can be just as effective as morphine. Your brain can only process a certain amount of sensory input it seems, and a distraction of this sort actually makes it so the patients have a real reduction in perceived pain-level. I don't remember where I read about it though. I think it must have been Scientific American or Science News.
