If I had the knowledge to code in weapons, I'd try to make a mod or something with some really crazy weapons, but not just there for the hell of it. You could have a more skillful game where all the weapons have different uses, and are all totally different.

Sorry just felt like saying that :razz: Fun stuff, try and make something really complicated. Is it possible to have a projectile play with gravity? Something like a weapon that shoots a ball which draws in nearby objects, and then shoots them out or something. Make something completely new!

You wanna be the saviour of Half Life 2 to make HL2DM good? Remake all the original HL1 weapons, so all you really need to do is gauss, egon, trip mine, satchel and a couple of others... That would make you a god :eek:

You "coded" this? I did the same thing for HL1 ALL THE TIME by making delteing the old arrow madel and replacing it with a different model of the same name. I had a headcrab launcher (laser-guided.) did you really "code" it or are you just trying to sound 1337

I made a HL1 mod by replacing all the models for projectiles with scientist.mdl. I also changed the sounds, so when you fired the RPG a screaming scientist would fly out.

I tweaked the crossbow a fair bit.

Come on cut me some slack, that was my first ever successful compile of the source and i didn't touch HL1.

ground or walls if the angles right, if it ain't it explodes.

Also goes bang when hitting Enemys of course :biggrin:

yeah haven't you ever noticed the crossbow bolts bouncing? I once made a giant round tube and fired at teh correct angle and it ricocheted off every surface in a large circle before exiting on the other side. Also, It's easy to change the sound of impact, same as it was easy for wil5on (bless his kin, and may the light shine on him forever) to replace the flying with the screming sounds.
