Hi everyone
I joined the snatkpit community hoping that i will get my mapping/modding problems solved.
I also wanted to know
where i can upload any maps i create so that people will play em?

Hey man, welcome to the snarkpit, you will find really good people to talk with about mapping and lots of cool helpful tutorials, this is the BEST website for talking about Half-life2 Relates stuff, Ofcourse, mapping...You will get to meet Kind Admins here, the main is leperous ofcourse, hes a cool website creator, a pro too...And ofcourse all the admins are kind and gentle, and lots of people here too, Enjoy your stay here man.

Im afraid i cant post any test maps
i made a hl2 intro-ish map with breen saying some stuff and behind him it looks like there are stars whizzing by (i added them with the env_starfield entity and a few others)
oh i know ill upload the vmf file it self just tell me if i can upload it here

Orph, you can't upload maps to the snarkpit, you need to host them
elsewhere and put a link to the download in the map profile. You can
grab webspace from places like Lycos, Geocities etc... but note that
some of them are pretty crappy, doing things like not allowing remote
linking.

Don't post test maps here, they're not too welcomed at the Pit.
Wait until you have a decent map to show us, then post it. When I
first joined, I uploaded a single room with some lighting effect, and
it was not well-received.
Any map you upload should be playable already. Experimental maps should be kept to yourself and stay on your HDD.
And don't post .vmf or .map files. We only need the .bsp and .nod
to load the map. Read the forum threads in the editing section to
learn more before posting. You can't go wrong with gathering more
information.
