nickleplate is still new so forgive him.

look at the top of the page you are currently seeing. there will be a link "control panel"

click it and scroll down to "add a new map"

unless something has changed recently, that will still get your map uploaded. getting it played is your job. make good maps, and you should have no problems.
and.. welcome.

Orph, you can't upload maps to the snarkpit, you need to host them
elsewhere and put a link to the download in the map profile. You can
grab webspace from places like Lycos, Geocities etc... but note that
some of them are pretty crappy, doing things like not allowing remote
linking.

i am afraid that a major portion of this site is dedicated to the intrepid reader. if your skills at the written english language are not sufficient, you will not have a very enjoyable stay.

re-read the upload section. specifically the file types permitted.
ask nickelnub for any further assistance you may need.

[edit] see i am out of touch.. i thought they used to be hosted here. oh well since today is the first day in years i have begun a new map.. it figures.

Don't post test maps here, they're not too welcomed at the Pit.

Wait until you have a decent map to show us, then post it. When I
first joined, I uploaded a single room with some lighting effect, and
it was not well-received.

Any map you upload should be playable already. Experimental maps should be kept to yourself and stay on your HDD.

And don't post .vmf or .map files. We only need the .bsp and .nod
to load the map. Read the forum threads in the editing section to
learn more before posting. You can't go wrong with gathering more
information.
