I was just complaining to Blitz about how I wish I could play BF2 with
a bunch of people I knew and trusted because I was sick of jumping into
the gunner seat and having the pilot promptly fly the chopper into the
ocean...
So I realized I have Xfire and maybe some of you guys do too. If
we used it to meet up and play games with each other maybe we could
finally live out our fantasy of landing on the roof of the hotel in
Gulf of Oman with a transport chopper and setting up shop... as a
snarkpit squad.
If you have Xfire and this sounds like a good idea to you, my name is buckshotenema and
you should add me, so we can play a game or two together. This is
by no means limited to just BF2. The games I've been playing the
most recently are (in this order) CS:S, BF2, WoW.
Others can use this to connect for HL2:DM and other popular
games. I just thought we needed some place to compile a list of
Xfire usernames to get the snarkpit crew gaming together. I can
edit this post later to include all the names as you guys post them.
At the risk of sounding like an advertiser: if you don't have Xfire, maybe you should check it out.

Mount up!
Edit: I realized should probably
elaborate a little bit about what xfire is. Basically it's a fully
functional version of the steam friends
feature. It's like AIM or MSN in the sense that you can message
people (both in and out of games). The in game messaging is
seamless. A new message will pop up rather unobtrusively in the
corner (without booting you out of the game or anything jarring like
that) and you can choose to respond or ignore it. Friends can
see what games you're playing, and at which server, and with a
right-click
can jump right in and join you. I think it's a really good tool
for someone who wants to keep playing with people they know. At
first I was skeptical about the program, I didn't really trust it to do
what it promised, but I'm pretty sold now.
