Press the "ctrl" button when you press the messages. It might be confusing them with popups.
Also, sometimes if the IE is not maximized, the popup window with the message will float behind..

Hi Saint,
Do you use such pop-up-blockers? Sometimes Anti-Virus-Software or firewalls do have implemented popupblockers as well.
The best guess would be revising your IExplorer's settings.

IE is actually more compatible with this site than firefox actually. Lep gets quite a few Firefox related pm's about it not working properly
Until someone can actually prove that Firefox is actually better, IE6 will remain :kitty:

Of course it is. But we shouldn't push the Saint to use another browser. It's a hell of a change.... actually not; but you now. I've got a customer who wants dual OS although he doesn't know anything about Linux (and he never will - doesn't even know anything about windows; at all). There must be way to use SnarkPit with IE6....
While I was in the UK I used SnarkPit with IE - so what?!
So /turns to Saint
Did it work before?
Did you change something in the configuration?
Did you install or remove another program since it worked (if it did)?
Do you have any pop ups at all (e.g. the members list)?

SnarkPit should work fine in IE and Firefox, and any versions of them that wasn't built specifically to take advantages of powerful features in Windows 3.1 (i.e. in the last 10 years or so). If PM windows aren't opening, then it's because you've either got JavaScript turned off (which is rather foolish, but you can change that from your browser's security/advanced settings; in any case, if the drop-down menus work you know this isn't the problem) or it's due to something blocking popups (possibly some over-zealous toolbar or antiquated piece of popup blocking software running in the background?).

It wasn't a site bug, it was his.
However, this has happened before and sifting through the thread mentioned might have solved it prior to posting.

...and this thread became a battlefield for a full-on browser war debate. I switched to FireFox last year, and never looked back.
IE opened up too many holes to allow spyware to get in.

Please do not start with the browser war thingy again. It was already proved more/less that no browser mentioned is superior to the other.
Personally I think Firefox blows chunks but, I would never detour anyone from using it. Stop with the bulls**t that IE is evil and Firefox is best s**t.
