I suppose so from the standpoint of, without one there cannot be the other.

I realize your text is blue, hence humourous but some here may find the blackness of the comedy offensive. My point was not to bring to light the gay situation, only to point out that some things exist in spite of their clashing nature. Without a woman, no one can be born not even a gay who for the most part find a woman unattractive.
There is no history until something happens, then there is.

Ok I linked the Image

Ok, I said before how cool Satan is in me previous post. And then I
went to that homepage of the rules. And I found a disturbing image. Not
disgusting, just I found a little odd.

Ok, see those little letters going around the pentagram.... well those
are Hebrew letters. Hebrew, is the language Jews speak. I
am Jewish.

Now, could it just be me or are Satanists asscociating the Jewish religion with Satan?

Here's a little hebrew lesson, and what letters they used.

He - (Pronouced: Hay) - Top Left - Makes a "H" noise

Yod (Pronounced: Yud) - Top Right - Makes a "Y" noise

Final Nun (Prounced: Nun) - Bottom Left - Makes a "N" noise

Lamed (Pronounced: Lawmed) - Bottom Middle - Makes a "L" noise

Vav (Pronouced: Vuv) - Bottom Right - Makes a "L" noise

Its more likely that Satanism incorporates occult symbolism into its
rituals, foo. Actually, if you read the Satanic Bible its an extremely
rational book, and, while I'm not a member (I'm not forking out real
money for a little red card) I share most of the beliefs (except the
main nontheistic ideology  )

I used to be quite into the occult but less so now, mainly because
Aliester Crowley died a penniless drug addict, and that speaks volumes.

yes, because Buddhism was not made by man, it was made by.. wait a minute... man.

I think the church of Satan is just like "let's do something that nobody else is doing, and while we're at it, lets make it the EXACT opposite of the established norm" there can't be more of a "counterculture."

As far as I know, most satanists do believe in God, but are against
Him. You see, believing in God isn't really the question - serving Him
or not is what counts. You can call yourself a christian and still not
live for God. I think that's what happens a lot. Look at Ireland.
According to the bible, those people that kill each other are no
christians, yet the call themselves so.

But hey, it's written in the bible that not everyone who says Lord Lord shall enter the kingdom...

still, does anyone else think that satanists are trying to make
some kind of connection to Judaism. Like, going on the theory
that jewish people are evil. Like that whole "jew killed jesus" thing.
and are using that for some kind of shock factor to make them cooler or
whatever?

you know what? captain P? it's that realization there that lots of others need to have. You've got to understand that anyone who kills or starts a war in the name of god is a not christian (unless God tells them to for real which hastn happend in a long time.). Just so, i don't think that the terrorist guys over in the middle-east are really Muslims.

Windows 98,

As for the hebrew text on the church of Satan image, you have to
realize that many feel the character Lucifer from the old testament, is
the same entity as Satan from the new testament. Jesus or no
Jesus, this Lucifer/Satan feller is fighting the same God (admittedly
oversimplified).

Here's my take on it, and literally, just my take, i.e. it's probably just plain wrong.

I would have thought the New Testament essentially replaces the Old
Testament, and subsequently voids parts of Genesis. Similarly, Genesis
can easily be interpreted as a metaphor. The New Testament has
thousands of relevant bits in despite being written so long ago - i.e.
Jesus' teachings. Few would say that they are immoral.

Subsequently, whilst science may "dispell" any literal views of Genesis, it by no means disproves the whole Bible and voids it.

Anyway - just my opinion. Carry on.

i am athiest. sure i disbelieve but i dont disagree. a lot of morals in religions are very good, i just dont believe in the supernatural/spiritual/god part.

i believe, that at its roots, religion was invented to answers Mans' own question of our uniqueness.

when i die, thats it. no afterlife, nothing. when i choose to do something, no fate or anything, my own decsicion.

to me, all human beings are atoms behaving in strange ways
