Counter Strike Source Justice - CS

The crazies have broken out of their "terrorist cells" at the courthouse, and they're planning to bomb the place to facilitate their escape. The SWAT team, of course, has just arrived to stop them.

The terrorists can either plant the bomb at the base of the statue above the courtroom or inside the main security control room just below the prison. The statue is closer, but it's a very open area, with enemies coming from all directions. The control room is harder to get to, but it's more easily defended once the bomb is planted.

There are 40 spawn points. There are multiple ways to get to either bomb site, including from the outside courtyard and from the basement (to bomb site B). Sniper points are everywhere, so watch your head.

There is an alternate way for the terrorists to get to bomb site B. After existing the prison spawn point, the terrorists can turn right into the third-floor balcony area instead of running down the corridor to bomb site A.

In the balcony, use the crates to jump onto the fence. You can then jump onto a lamp fixture extending out from the side of the building. From the light fixture, you can then jump onto the perimeter wall, and then jump down to ground level without suffering damage.

This route is trickier, but also sneakier. The basement also provides a detour to the bomb site. You can surprise the CT by showing up at bomb site B largely undetected.

CT to A: 9 sec
T to A: 11 sec

CT to B: 16 sec
T to B: 22 sec

Counter Strike Source cs_harvest

CS_Harvest tries to represent a natural huge outdoor place without loosing CS classical gameplay. A lot of custom materials, textures and models are included. There is linux data also, but it takes a lot of space (about half of bsp).

A custom navigation file for bots (made from scratch) takes adventage of cs_harvest complex terrain.

Counter Strike Source surf_speedway

A new surf map, with three runs to choose from at the spawn, which both teams spawn at. Rather then having a divider, I opted to simply make everyone start with no weapons, including knives. This may be a turn down to some people, but it encourages people to surf better by not spawn killing or being spawn killed.

Flamers, please note that surf maps are not supposed to be beautiful. They are for the fun of playing them. I am an expierenced mapper, the only reason that I don't pay the attention to detail that I used to is because the slow productivity drove me away from mapping, which I loved to do.

STORY

In the mountains of northern Afghanistan, is a small village of stone houses nestled up against the base of a mountain. It's early spring, and the snows that cover the mountains have started melting. The stream is still covered in a layer of ice, and just after dawn on this march morning, the air is cold and foggy. The sheep huddle together on the still barren fields, and the soft thunder of the waterfall can be heard from a distance. The village appears abandoned, and the area is quiet. But Terrorists live there, where they grow poppies, and make heroin for sale in the west, and they keep the village for use as a hideout and as a factory for their profits. Unfortunately, a spy has found the village, but he was caught, and is being held hostage in the center of the village. Now, Blackhawk helicopters have landed on the southern edge of town. The Terrorists know that a rescue mission has been launched.

STRATS

The approach routes are very carefully timed so that rushes result in conflicts in specific locations. And while the layout is deceptively simple, the number of strategies you can use is almost unlimited. In particular, how you split your teams will greatly affect the game play.

The map's layout is a cyclone model with both teams spaced equidistant from the hostages, and rushing to a center arena. The village is constructed so that the terrorists come in either straight or to the high side, and the CT's either straight and to the low side. Both can flank the other team within the village, or by the ground route around the village. You can get in and out of the buildings, and easily onto the roofs, and there are at least three different ways into the village center for each team. This layout creates the effect of the teams coming out of the woodwork in a central arena, if they both sprint to the center. The teams can also try to flank the low route outside the village, and the timing is set so that smokes, flashes, and snipers all play in that tactic.

Most of the routes that are interesting require you to break down a door or window, and this includes getting the hostages. The sound gives away your location.

EASTER EGGS
  • There are two easter eggs on the map. One about myth and heroism where you can get a grenade, the other is an AK with one clip.
INSTALLATION
  • Copy the BSP file into you cstrike/maps directory
  • Start CS:S, select Create Server, and from the dropdown, select "cs_knifeedge_beta1a"
  • I recommend that you use seven bots (your processor will get eaten with more of them).
FPS
  • I'm getting 140+FPS near the edges of the map, 100FPS in the center, 90 in the good areas, and 70FPS in the slowest areas.

Counter Strike Source CS Dutchy Dutch

This map is the first one I made. It was released February 18, 2005. But it was compiled for Half Life 2 Deathmatch. Because Counter-Strike: Source is much more popular then Deathmatch I decided to rebuild the map for Counter-Strike: Source.
Game info:
There are 8 counter-terrorists on the roof of the building.
The bomb target is one floor below. Defend it at all cost.
There are 8 terrorists downstairs.
Kick those counter-terrorists upstairs.
You can play the map with bots.

Counter Strike Source cs_trainstation

cs_trainstation is a conversion of a map from the game Tactical Ops, wich was a real-time warfare mod, on the Unreal engine. To be very honest with you guys... I didn't like the gameplay, but I did like the maps, so I'm making this remake of one of the maps, called TO-Trainstation.

This is a hostage map. It will take place in a 2 story building, the trainstation. Terrorists will spawn in the station and Counter-Terrorists will spawn outside on the street. There are 4 different ways to get in, but only 2 to get out of there.

I'm still learning to work with Hammer and this is my first map with this editor... Comments are welcome.

Completion Status:
  • Geometry: 90% (Where the player will be able to walk)
  • Detailed: 40% (Support pillars, sidewalks, fences, ...)
  • Textures: 70% (According to the finished Geometry)
  • Models: 15% (Boxes, light's, fences, cars, ...)
  • Lightning: 60% (Models and sources)

Counter Strike Source aim_inquisition

Inspired from the Games Workshop game "Inquisitor", its story and the imperial hive setting.

Bugs:
For some reason not all of the spikes on the Chapheaux show up. Hammer says they're invalid solids. I've tried copying the non-invalid spikes, if tries added new spikes. Nothing seems to work. No idea whats going on there

Architecture is done for the most part. I now need to texture everything (its currently in dev textures) and add a 3d skybox

Tips: The lower levels are close, and relatively well lit

Story: A small band of terrorists are trying to sneak into the Imperial Chapheaux (The big building by the CT spawn with lots of spikes on it) to assassinate the Governor. Fortunately the Inquisition had a feq informants inside the terrorist organisation. A squad has been sent to intercept them, and prevent them from entering the Chapheaux

This is a fun map made , for testing my bridge that I am going to use in de_critcalstrike (css version.) for all enjoy and post a reply blamm it tell me you dont like or what ever im here for suggestions and flame aswell as reviews. But just keep in mind this is my first ever made map so go easy on me :D
