Half-Life 2: Deathmatch dm_backwash

A small, abandon, overgrown dam located in the heart of a northern hemisphere alpine forest.

The Dam was built on a small creek that branched off a large river and was used to serve a small town roughly 35km south west in 1963. However due to the towns growth in the recent years, the dam was not supplying a sufficient supply of water and become obsolete 35 years later.

The Dam has now been left behind and is no longer maintained, and as a result has become over grown and graffitied on.

This was originally a hl1 map called fling_s2. Ive recreated it with some extra bits and bobs for HL2DM.

Note: This is not a cheap conversion via decompiling/ recompiling. Everything has been recreated, although i did use the decompile for guidence purposes only. (In other words hard work and long hours have gone into this)

Map description


Open area map with stronghold points for cover.
Hold RPG for strategic advantage, however watch out for sniping magnum shots from the other side.
"Fling!" from one side to the other to either retreat or invade!
Harass the opposition with well placed nade lobs & xbow/combine ball rebounds.

Description
dm_forest_vendetta_v1: Is a bright sunlit valley filled with trees, rocks, old buildings, and a large stream.

The Combine military has established a formidable stronghold in the valley. They have become obsessed with finding the Resistance?s hideout and

the location of their hidden teleporter. It has been reported by the Combine high command that the teleporter is somewhere in the old farm building that they have been using as a base of operations. Recent searches of the building have yet to yield any clues as to its location. The Resistance has been able to use it at night to get up into some of the higher rocky areas and rain down fire on them.

The mission is to find the Resistances base and find the teleporter at all costs.

Warlock (available is two versions: a dm and a team dm) is a fast paces computational map suited for 2vs2/3vs3 matches. Layout is sort of a medieval castle/fortress with many curved walls and turns as gameplay is a mixture of leveled areas, hilly spots, ramps, corridors, crevices and catwalks. Map features one RPG controlled area and one 357 magnum controlled area.

The DM version is a more pub oriented map with more pickups and basically?well?easier to survive J . The TDM version is much tougher and more oriented towards competitive gameplay.

A small map for HL2:DM. I usually play with just a few friends, so we were looking for a smaller map to play on, so I made this one. My first map that I feel is complete enough to release. It is very small, probably best suited for just a handfull of players (2-4).

This is my first map for HL2 DM. dm_buildings_1 Wont be the final name. There a couple of secret sniper points but thay are small so if u get a grenade in there (BOOM). Am thinking about making it twice as big & adding more indoor bits. Plz tell me what u think.

Here is my second major map release. It is based on C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" and the Narnia movie from 2007.

Intro
By way of introduction, I am "Redclaw" and I have spent the last 4 years mapping for AVP2. I also served as a map reviewer for PlanetAVP.

About 4 months ago I jumped in the Half Life 2 arena feet first. It's been a total blastand I love the HL2 world. Hammer is a great

level designer compared to what I had to work with in the AVP2 world. If you play AVP2 and would like to check out those maps too then please

Description
dm_narnia_hunting_grounds_V5 "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" is a winter map based on C.S. Lewis' book and the recent movie released in 2007.

You will find the map full of fun suprises and it is a challenging hunting map. It comes complete with the wardrobe, stone table, Mr. Tumnus'

home, the lamp, and many more fun things. It is set to the background of a cold winter morning in Narnia. As always with my maps, there

is a secret room for you to try to find. So good luck and happy hunting.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch dm_balcony

Star map!
After some of my recent maps grew way out of proportions, I tried to do something smaller, something simpler this time. A HL2DM map that just works. There's plenty of vertical movement with balconies and rooftops to jump around. Some tight close-quarter fights as well as larger and more free areas for quicker movement. Once you found the RPG, watch out for a sparking power-box, shooting it will electrocute anyone standing on the little white roof.

This is i guess an arena map as there is little in the way of a theme, game play seems to be free flowing, with an upper (dominant)

level where you can zip about and a lower level with power ups and tight corridors and tunnels.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch DM_Mire (working title)

I'm really not very good at keeping small maps small for long. Been working on this on and off (along with Soylent) for about 6 months, maybe a little more. Having two maps in progress is nice because I can go back and forth and have 'fresh eyes'. One of my main focuses early on in development was Z variation and having quick 'dodge-out' escape routes. In the lower level (screens 1 and 3) there is a waterway which will have a func_push, making it a quick getaway (but not without hazards of it's own!)

Nearly complete layout-wise, stay tuned for updates.
